How to open a chm help file prepared with "HTML Help Workshop"

Dear reader,

In the form property "Help File" there is the possibility to specify a .chm
help file.

This help file can be created with "HTML Help Workshop".

According the instructions the stored help file in the same folder as the
program it self will by popup by pressing the function button F1 in the open
form.

Also I have incorporated the VBA code as mentioned under Microsoft Knowledge
Base Q271390.

And also an AutoKeys macro is made to start the VBA function HelpEntry() by
pressing the button F1.

But despite all of this the help window will remain closed.

Is there any one who knows how to work with chm help files.

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards,

Simon van Beek

I'm stumped. I'm trying to use Python 2.3's urllib2.urlopen() to open an HTML file on the local harddrive of my WinXP box. If I were to use, say, Netscape to open this file, I'd specify it as "file:///c:/mypage.html", and it would open it just fine. But urlopen() won't accept it as a valid URL. I get an OSError exception with the error message "No such file or directory: '\\C:\\mypage.html'".

Does the file extension matter when including a JavaScript file in an HTML page? Normally, one would include a JavaScript file in an HTML page using <script src="foo.JS" type="text/javascript"> However, I have found that I can use an alternate file extension, such as <script src="foo.HTML" type="text/javascript"> It works fine with my IE 6 and Mozilla. Will it work with other browsers?

Hi all, is there a good way to have a popup window appear using Javascript and the html "map" tag? Here is my code: <map name="navigation"> <area shape="rect" coords="5,57,45,70" href="index.php" alt="Home"> </map> I would like to have this link be a Javascript "onclick" type popup function with no scrollbar, etc.

I recently learned how to do an <OBJECT> alternative to <IFRAME> in current browsers using: <object id="extendedhtml" type="text/html" data="otherpage.html" width="250" height="400"></object> My question is how do I access the document DOM of this object in Javascript? For example, "alert(extendedhtml.innerHTML);" doesn't work and produces an unknown error. I'd like to both read and write to the document's body element's innerHTML...

Background: We have hundreds of codes = specific departments, but there are frequent changes/additions to the info. For users to look up definitions, we had set up a way in Access to create a webpage link for each separate code. Back in an earlier version of Access - 97 or possibly 95 - there was a command of <File><Save as HTML> which let us select *all* of the 350+ queries and go through a wizard to save them all as HTML. Problem:...

I know that HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() generates a HttpWebResonse. The response has one ContentType property. But the property is just decided by http response header. It is possible that the content is actually HTML, while the ContentType is "image/jpeg". Is there any effective way to judge whether the response type is truly "text"? I have a idea to read the first several bytes of the response stream; and check whether they are real...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
