Having trouble creating a deployment disk for an access program

Over the last two years I've written an MS accedd based program. The
back end is also backend. It is a realestate inventory management
program. It uses a third party program to manipulate photos.

I can't seem to figure out how to create a deployment CD that I can
market. I've tried using The Microsoft deployment wizard in both 97
and 2000. Neither creates an error free deployment. I then looked for
third party software and tried 2. Again, I could not create an error
free deployment CD. I even asked the creators of the software if they
could give me the name and email of a client that has already created a
deployment disk. They couldn't come up with any name.

Can anyone lead me inthe right direction. IE third party software that
THEY has USED to deploy an MSAccess application. Or do you know of a
comapny that will create the disk for me, or do one of you want to
tackle it.
Regards,
Adolph

Hello all, I am writing a script where I need to use the system() function to call htpasswd. I can do this just fine on the command line...works great (see attached file, test.php). When my webserver runs that part of the script (see attached file, snippet.php), though, it doesn't go through. I don't get an error message or anything...it just returns a "1" (whereas it should return a "0") as far as I can tell. I have read the PHP...

I wish to fread a few thousand bytes at a time in turn from several very large files from a DVD data disk, under Redhat Fedora Linux. When this is done the DVD drive wastes a lot of time and almost shakes itself to pieces. I tried using setvbuf, with large buffers, e.g. (example only, not checked): #include <stdio.h>

I have a VB windows forms application that accesses a Microsoft Access database that has been secured using user-level security. The application is being deployed using No-Touch deployment. The objective in utilizing this new deployment method is to reduce the maintenance overhead as well as making it easier for my users to setup and run the application initially. I have VS 2002, Windows XP, Access XP(2000 format). He is my problem....

Hi all I've written a program in VB.NET that allows the user to build quotes for installing shower enclosures. As part of the program, I've included a blank Access database. I've provided them with an interface where they can add their own clients to the database When the user upgrades to a newer version of my program, I don't want the installer to overwrite the Access database file with my blank one again. How can I tell VB.NET to check...

I have a custom menu bar that I seem to be having trouble deploying with the database. This type of custom object is kept in the System.mdw correct? I have a target machine that won't let go of the original custom menubar that I created. Even when I remove the existing system.mdw, it seems to get re-created the next time I open Access, BUT it doesn't include the new menu bar, which leads me to believe that the program isn't creating this...

Here's my plan for creating nightly backups of the production back-end file (the IT staff in their infinite wisdom have prevented use of Windows Scheduler and users do not have administrative rights to Windows). Candace Tripp has an automatic backing up program that I modified for our use. You can schedule a time for the backup to occur. Since Windows task scheduler is not available to us, this means that the auto backup program will...

Hello. I developed and tested a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1. It uses a web form. I'm having the darndest time trying to make this program install and run at client site. Not so much install anymore, but there are still some install issues. Before doing any web work the program simply tries to open a text file.

I am running a console application that connects to an Access database (8 million rows) and converts it to a text file and then cleans and compacts the database. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
