Slightly O.T. - seeking documentation of the microsoft user interface specification

MLH
I want to read more about the microsoft user interface specification
for windows applications. I know there are standards that have been
developed and I want to gain a little more expertise in the topic.

Hi, I am seeking the help of volunteers to test some software that I've developed which facilitates distributed two-phase commit transactions, encompassing any resource manager (e.g. SQL/Server or Oracle) controlled by Microsoft's Distributed Transaction Coordinator in a Windows2000 environment, with any resource manager under the control of DECdtm (e.g. Rdb (or Oracle via the XA Veneer)) in a VMS environment.

The printer would have no paper tray, labels or other paper source. It would work something like an employee time-card machine. Legal secretary logged in at particular workstation running the dbase app simply clicks a button launching procedure in app that will send print stream to the...

A co-worker asked me today what would happen if Session.Add() method was called multiple times with the same key. My first thought was that it would throw some sort of duplicate key exception. Thinking about it some more, the only thing it really does is implement ICollection and possibly IDictionary so the implementation could be anything so I looked into a bit further. Documentation didn't say anything about the Add() methods besides...

I have a database documentation question, but I am not even sure how to phrase it properly so I don't know where to start looking for answers. We are developing a database that is based on several different data standards and schema. I'm finding it confusing to keep it all straight. What's this field for? Which standards document is it based on? What are the permitted values? Which business rule governs it? In theory, we do have all...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
