How to check the status of a sub form

Dear reader,

If there are no records available for a sub form the sub form will not show
any thing in the form, the sub form is closed.

Is there a code in VBA to check the status of the sub form, closed or open.

Thanks for any help.

Not all subforms behave that way. Just check out the Orders form in
the Northwind (Noordenwind?) sample database. You may have chosen a
peculiar set of form properties.

You can check for zero records with the resordsetclone:
if me.mysubformcon trol.form.recor dsetclone.recor dcount = 0 then
msgbox "Zero"
end if

I'm still having trouble posting follow-ups. :-( "Unable to retrieve message 7cc66112.0501041919.3a6628b4@posting.google.com" Now Turtle wrote "You'll need an extra field in the table underlying the subform." ....................hmmmmmmmmm................... I put in a field in the underlying table with a default value of 1. I created a text box which adds up the values in the new field

Will this code give me a true view of a computer's status? All I am looking for is to see if the computer is reachable or not. My end goal is to get a list of IP addresses from a MS SQL Server, see if the IP is reachable(if yes I will assume the pc is operational), update the database with the result and generate a web page displaying the results. I am using port 135 because I have an all windows network and this port should be open...

What would be a good way to check programmatically whether a service was running? We have a service that dies periodically and I need to check to see if this service is running. I know how to check to see if the status is in stopped or running mode. But that doesn't tell me if it is actually running. I need to know this so that if it happens I can programmatically start the same service on another machine.

Hi, I'm having a little trouble trying to update a page content when the user clicks a check box. Basically, I need to reload a page to update its content depending on that checkbox status. I have added a checkbox that has an onClick event that calls a javascript function that loads the form itself and adds a GET variable in the url so that I can check which data I have to display.

Hello, it seems like the check constraint validation of MS SQL Server Management Studio express is horribly, horribly broken. Either that or I'm using it wrong. I hope it's the latter. I'm trying to add a check constraint to an empty table. The problem is that just about no form of expression syntax seems to get accepted by MSSQLSMS. On my a table "Projects" I've created a ntext column called "status". The following check constraint...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
