I'm trying to create a link from Access 2003 to an Exchange 2000
Public Folder called "WMContacts" I choose File => Get External Data=>
Link Tables. I choose Exchange() and the wizard give me the Link
Exchange/Outlook Wizard. From there I choose Public Folders => All
Public Folders => WMContacts. I leave the linked table name as
"WMContacts". It then displays a nastygram with the following:

Hi all,
I want to apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question.
I would like to write an application, in Java running on UNIX, that
would insert, read, and mark as completed tasks in exchange.
What is the best approach for this? Is the answer to write a web service
using C# and then call it from Java? Does OWA already provide a set of
web services for something like this? If so is there WSDL to go with it?

I have an application that needs to write tasks into an outlook task folder.
I keep getting the "Access is Denied" error
ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource.
Which resource do I need to give the asp.net account access to. I have ran
dcomcnfg.exe and given the asp.net account access to all the resources.
This doesn't change anything.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Hello all,
I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times, but I am just not
finding the answers that I am looking for.
We have developed an application that we plan to market. The app is
written in ASP.NET on the front end and runs against an Exchange 2003
back end. I am trying to make the app look as much like Outlook Web
Access 2003 as possible. We've got the layout down and some of the
niftier looking functions, but icons are...

Hi
I'm into creating a web application in C# (.NET Framework 1.1) which
would list and manage the outlook tasks.
If I try to do this in a Windows Application, it works fine. But there
are many issues in case of Web application.
Code:
Outlook.Application app = new Outlook.Application();

I would like to have my application add administrative tasks to an
Administrator's Outlook Task Folder. I know how to get the User group of the
CurrentUser and think I can even code how to do the actual additions.
A couple of questions:
1) How do I code it so that it only occurs once - the first time the
administrator opens my app. I think I need code that checks if the tasks are
already there in Outlook and then aborts if they are....

Hi. I'm trying to couple my contacts data in Outlook to an Access 2003
application using the wizard Exchange/Outlook at some point. If I open the
linked contacts table, not all fields from my Outlook contacts entry form
are available, nor the corresponding data. The field Categories, for
example, so useful for filtering isn't there.
How can I get full access to my Outlook data from within my Access
application?

RE: Access 2003 / Outlook 2003
My current Outlook data is stored on the server in MS Exchange. I have
a local .pst on an external drive serving only as a backup.
Right now I do these steps manually to backup my current Outlook data
which is in MS Exchange Server here at work:
Step 1. Erase all contents from these 4 folders in my local .pst file:
-Calendar
-Contacts

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
