Linking to Contact File in Exchange 2000 Public Store

I'm trying to create a link from Access 2003 to an Exchange 2000
Public Folder called "WMContacts " I choose File => Get External Data=>
Link Tables. I choose Exchange() and the wizard give me the Link
Exchange/Outlook Wizard. From there I choose Public Folders => All
Public Folders => WMContacts. I leave the linked table name as
"WMContacts ". It then displays a nastygram with the following:

"The MAPI store "WMContacts " is known but is not available in the
current profile. This can occur if you use a profile that is designed
for working offline from a server and try to link to a folder or
address book on the server. The wizard is unable to link to it."

My goal is to link from Access to this folder. When I change a data
item in another access table, I will write a program that finds the
same record in the public folder on the exchange server and updates
the appropriate record's field based on the Access table.

I have deleted the outlook profile several times and recreated it
without any offline selections. How do I successfully make this link?

Thanks,

Patrick Park

I encountered the same problem with the identical error, even with a
profile that was not enabled for offline use. After a lot of trial and
error I was able to link the table by removing all custom views that
had been created for the folder.

Hello again. I am trying to figure out how to link a picture to a record from code. I have figured out how to get the proper dialogue box to open but I still have to manually check off the Link checkbox. Is there a way to automate the checking of this box? I am not doing any of this through code because when I tried that, I could not make it work from code so I am simply using the default behaviours of the bound object frame. I hope...

Hi!! Years ago I built a database to control the production of a little factory. The users wanted to work in a Windows Net workgroup so I created an mdb with all the tables and data an after that every user had his own mde linked to the main mdb. Year by year, progressively the number of records has been growing and the speed of the application has decreased strongly, because of the grrrreat number of records stored.

I have linked the table to the database and them append the...

I'm trying to link an MS Outlook 2003 contacts table in an Exchange mailbox to an MS Access 2003 table. I have 436 contact records in the contacts folder but when I run the link table wizard using the Exchange conduit the resulting table contains only 369 records, and many of them are duplicates except for the business fax number. I can't see any pattern to the omitted contact records. Is there something I should be doing to get them all...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
