Cannot open any more tables

Can anyone give me some pointers please on where to look next in
solving the problem I'm getting with running a Perl program (my first
of any real complexity) from the command line in WindowsXP?

Basically the program updates from a flat file an Access 2002 database
consisting of just 4 tables (no queries, forms or reports as yet). It
worked fine with a small amount of test data but gave the following
error message after processing 60 or so records from a larger data
file:

DBD::ODBC::st execute failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]
Cannot open any more tables. (SQL-HY001)(DBD: st_execute/SQLExecute
err=-1) at MyStatistics.pm line 276.

I find the message confusing as the database only has 4 tables and I'm
the only user. Does Access create hidden tables on the fly and is it
these to which the error message is referring? If so, is this a design
or a programming problem? (The design is very straight-forward with the
tables on a single daisy-chain of relationships.)

I've searched various groups but found nothing that seemed relevant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi, I am using Q Replication, I need to set to logging to capture changes on a table but the table has more than 18 characters for the name, I looked at the docs, it mentioned that table names with more than 18 characters are allowed in DB2 V8 but when you turn on logging, it will not turn on logging. Is there a work around to this? Thanks

Hi all, At work I created a database which is really helpful. The database is used by approx 15 users. Everything worked great, until I added some 'scoreboard' forms and reports. I get the "Cannot open any more databases" error. The 'scoreboard' form show a matrix of 6 columns, 7 rows. Each cell is calculated separate by (what I call complex) queries.

Q. How can I 'see' the number of table id's access is using for tracking recordsets? Details: I have some ado code that itterates through a recordset and calls a procedure on each record. This procedure calls a hierachy of other subs/functions etc which _do_ instantiate several custom objects (class modules), recordsets, both ado and dao at different times. Eventually the code breaks with the error number -2147467259, (though has also...

I would really appreciate someone's help on this, or at least point me in the right direction.... I'm working on a permit database that contains 12 tables, and rather than list all of the tables, I'll just list a few, as the links are the same for all tables. These tables are: tblPermitMain tblApplicant tblContractor tblEngineer

I frequently get the above error on my website. It happens only for short periods of times, then the error goes away. I cannot recreate this. I have an error trap that picks up this error. When it happens, I'll get 10 to 30 in a row, then it goes away for a week or so. It always comes back though. It's driving me crazy. At the start of a web page, I instantiate a 'global' module. The global module sets all of the connection...

Hi, I have table1 and table2, both are linked, and a query has been run. I created forms that use both just the tables, and then another one using just the query. All of the information is there, but I cannot edit any records nor can I move to a new record on the forms. I checked to see if they were locked, and they are not. Please help!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
