Subform - Display Problem

Hello,

I'm using a form that has a subform. The subform is linked to a hidden
datasheet form, and the subform displays records from the form.

The problem is, the subform will only show X number of records, and one
additional record for data entry. My boss wants me to show an entire sheet,
with many rows available for data entry (Because it looks better).

Is there a property that can be changed to show the subform in this way?
This may be an easy one but I'm not familiar enough with subforms to know.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

No, you will always only ever get one blank line for the new record. You
could bodge a workaround whereby you enter some blank records into the
underlying table but...

Pros:
Your boss will think it looks better (questionable)

Cons:
You need to maintain the number of blank records.
You need to maintain some sort order so that the blank ones always
appear last in your subform.
This may impact on a required field.
It's a waste of space.
It's a waste of resources to create just to please your boss in that way
(completing the project on time might be a better way to please him).

You have my express permission to dope slap your boss.

Hoping some can help. Have a subform that is working fine except if you swap to another application and then back to the access form when you do that the area over the subform is not updated correctly and display the previous application. Hopfully some has the answer!

In my database, I have a form with a subform. I had everything working correctly - the correct records would display on the subform for each record on the form. I could edit, add, and delete on the subform. I added a field to my table, and modified the design of my subform. Now, data is not getting displayed on the subform for any form records. I did not change any properties. I'm on XP Pro and using MS Office 2000 Pro.

Hi, I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID. The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the table). One record per form. I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform (sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

I have created a main form with a combo box (cbo_student_events) that has a drop down list for various student events. I have a subform that displays all the corresponding data for the cbo_student_events. Eg. From the combo box, I select 'Ski Trip', the subform should display all the Ski Trip details like location, time, etc. I have LinkMasterFields and LinkChildFields correctly. The problem is that the data in the subform will only diplay...

Hi, I have two very similar forms each with a subform. The main form gets a few fields from the user and passes this back to a query that the subform is bound to. The requery is done when the user enters the last qualifying field on the main form. In one case this works fine, the subform shows the data the user wants to update -- which means showing all the data put in previously (ie showing this via the requery and the continuous...

I need to be able to click in a subform and run code but at the same time I need to be able to scroll the records without running the code. I tried coding the Enter event of the subform control but when I try to scroll the records the code runs. The subform is continuous; all the controls are on one line and the detail section is not exsposed above or below the controls. I tried coding the detail Click event but nothing happened. I tried...

I created in design view a subform within a subform. However the subform within the subform in only visible in design view. In form view the subform within the subform is not visible. I have only nested from the mainform to a subform into another subform. Any clues why my subform within my subform is not visible in form view?

Hi - I am developing a simple app, and just found a problem that I can't fix after 4 hours of trying. I display a list of customers, and the user chooses one and displays "orders". The frmOrders displays correctly, with the subform - frmOrders_sfrmCustInfo - on top that is correct. The subform displays cust info - name, address, phone. Name is from a function that takes

I know this has been discussed, but I can't find a resolution. I have a subform on a form. The table with the data for the main form has 15,000 records. I am opening and then setting recordsource so as to only pull 1 record. The table where the subform data comes from has 130,000 records. There is a parent/child link. Indexed on those fields. I have set the datasource to the table, SQL statements and a number of different queries...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
