Subform screen problem

Hoping some can help.

Have a subform that is working fine except if you swap to another
application and then back to the access form when you do that the area over
the subform is not updated correctly and display the previous application.

Hopfully some has the answer!

I've noticed that on Windows XP systems. My guess is it's some sort of
display bug (whether in the O/S or Access is the question). If you use
the Alt-Tab method of switching between applications it doesn't seem to
happen as much. If you click the application icons on the taskbar it
happens more often. When it does happen you can get the "real"
application to appear by clicking on the display. If that doesn't work
click back & forth on the taskbar application icons until it does
appear. A Wonky Work-around.

Just an idea (that I haven't tried...)

Private Sub Form_Activate()
Me.Refresh
End Sub

Thanks for the reply, but it is running on W2K with the same problem. I
have noticed that it must be a property of the main form as if I copy a
subform from another form that works then I get the same problem.

I have check through the properties but can't see anything that should cause
the problem.

Thanks for your help, tried that but still happening.

Have tried cuting and pasting a subform in the same application that is
working. When I do that I still get the same problem so I fairly sure it
must be something to do with a property on the main form.

Access XP Access 2002 format. I have a subform on a tab control. The subform has the following code (error trapping removed to make post shorter)... When I close the parent form it goes 100% as designed UNLESS I have used one of the sort buttons to sort the sub form on any given field. If I do sort, there is a delay fo about 5 seconds until after the parent form closes and the previous form re-opens. It appears that there may be...

I have a main form with a subform. The main form has a combo box which lists all the clients which in turn are displayed in the subform. The subform is bound to the combo box and all work well. however, I would like to be able to add a new client in the subform but this is, of course bound to the combo box. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to enter a new client in the subform with out receiving an error message? TIA - Ray

Hi: I have a sub form which i would like to show all the records selected from a table. There may well be over 100 of them. For reasons I cant fathom, the form will only show six, and then requires that you move using the record selection box to see any records below that. I would like the whole record set to be available using the vertical slider, since this is much more convenient for the user. Cab someone suggest what is wrong. The...

Can a vb.net form contain a subform? If yes, how is this done? Maybe I am going about my issue the wrong way. I start an asynchronous procedure from my main form - invoke a routine on a mainframe computer. Then I am polling every 10 seconds (timer1) to see if the external program has generated a data result set for my form to retrieve. In the meantime, on the same main form I have a series a little labels that blink on/off in a series...

When the function executes, I need it to immediately identify the following items: MainFormName, SubFormControlName (if this is a subform), and the ComboBox Control Name that launched the event. The following code seems to work, but I have my doubt. I am particulary concerned about the subForm control identity. If the

I have a system where many subforms are used. Often the size of the subform had to be larger than could be displayed without scrolling. I set the height of the subform to the typical height appropriate for the typical screen resolution they were using. Now some users have decided to use higher screen resolutions, up to 1280/1024. When they maximize the form, that of course works but the size of the main form control containing the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
