If anyone has seen this before, please help. I work at a company that
has an Access application front end attached to tables in an Oracle 10g
backend. In order to run our application this way, the client
workstation needs to have the Oracle client with the ODBC driver
installed. When testing this with Oracle 9i, we found we had problems
performing a specific action if the Oracle driver version was anything
but a couple available from the Oracle website. Now we're seeing this
behavior with Oracle 10g, and as I look at the Event Viewer, the error
says the following:
"Faulting application msaccess.exe, version 10.0.2627.1, faulting
module dao360.dll, version 3.6.8618.0, fault address 0x0003fdb6"
If there are any IT experts (Access, Oracle, or OS) that can point me
in the right direction, I would truly appreciate the help.

This is NOT a definitive reply, but on a mail list for a specific Oracle
application I manage (it's a computerized maintenance management
system), some folks reported problems with Access and Oracle 10g. I
asked about this and one of the fellows who was having rpoblems reported
that using the Microsoft Oracle ODBC driver and not the Oracle supplied
one solved the problem. I have not heard back yet from the other person
who was having difficulty.
I say not definitive, because I have difficulty believing the Oracle
supplied driver would crap out, but I'm using 8i, myself.

Is there a way to find out where an application was created from?
i.e. - work or home
i.e. - if application sits on a (work) server/network, the IT people know the
