preventing opening database window in MDE

Hi!

How to prevent opening the database window (tables, queries, modules) in
MDE?
I have created MDE and set in Startup that database window is not visible. I
also disabled Access shortcut keys, but nevertheless, sometimes database
window is shown just before closing aplication...
I want to be 100% sure that ordinar user can't see any tables ad queries. Is
there some programatic aproach for disabling database window ?
Thanks.

No matter what you do, they'll be able to import them into another database.

Unless it's been secured properly, and they haven't logged in to the MDB
file with the right user account in the corresponding MDW file...

With the body tag calling out 'window onload', a function with a 'window.open' fails at the 'window.open' line. If I cut out the body tag, the function executes as normal. At first I thought it was the entire function failing, but I tested with alerts and found that it was only the 'window.open' that fails to execute. The function is being called by a link, and I suspected some problem with the body alink/vlink but after cutting that out...

I'm working for the first time on an existing application that communicates with an SQL Server database. We've backed up the database and installed it on our own machine, and copied the ADB file to our PCs. One problem. We can't open up the ADB file. When clicked, with the shift key down or not, it spends a long time in hourglass mode, and has to be stopped via the task manager. I don't know why it is ignoring the shift key (does...

I have a apsx form (Form A), which on submiting does a time consuming task. So i want to open a new aspx window (Form B) in which I want do do that time consuming task and show progress to the user and while that task is being completed I want Form A to redirect to Form C. I opened form B in a new javascript window and updated the progress through ajax but Form A doesn't let me redirect to Form C unless Form B's processing is Completed. ...

The new tabbed interface in access 2007, has led to one interesting problem. With a report shown in preview mode, and maximized, it just becomes a new tab. The user can click back over to the form, and if they make changes, they expect it to appear in the already previewed report (which it won't). So the question is how to prevent this. Either make every other standard form invisible in a report's On-Open event, or find another way? I...

I am struggling with some MSAccess automation issues. Basically, we have a .Net application that uses MSAccess for reporting (legacy code). We are able to launch MSAccess fine and even work with the MSAccess COM objects to run our reports (using GetObject(<MDB Path>) - see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317113&Product=vbNET for info on how to do this). The problem that we are running into is that if our Access...

I have some questions that are sort of connected. I use Access 2003. Is it possible to set some properties that can make the Access window open at a particular size? Is it possible to make a form open inside the Access window so that it fills the window completely without borders? I have seen some databases that open and there is no outside borders and the forms all work neatly inside. It looks like the database form is

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
