Switchboard won't appear (Access '03)

Hay guys,

When I create a switchboard, everything works fine until the last step:
the main (default) switchboard page won't show up. I've double-checked
the macros and the individual pages (under Tools-Database
utilities-Switchboard Manager) and everything else is fine. What might
the problem be, and how can I fix it?

When you say it won't show up, do you mean that it's a blank screen or
it won't show up when you launch the database? If it won't show up on
launch check tools/startup and be sure you have it set to the correct
form/page.

I mean that there's no switchboard form under the "Forms" object
listing in the left panel. Usually, the switchboard appears as one
form among others but for some reason, not any more.

Is it possible that the attributes on the form was changed to hidden?
You can make sure you are viewing hidden objects under
Tools/Options/View/Hidden Objects.

Here is the application. Its a simple application really. I have a db created in Access 2000 which opens to a switchboard created by the switchboard manager. Now the problem. This only works on some computers. I installed access 2000 on two brand new, out of the box, computers and on one it gives me a run time error and the other it doesn't. Both computers are running windows XP. Though the operating system doesn't seem to be the...

I have created a switchboard, created using Access 2000. If I put the mouse anywhere on the form, outside of the checkboxes and scroll the wheel backwards, I get the following error. Run-Time Error '-2147217900(8004e14)': Syntax Error (missing operator) in query expression in '>0 and =' I know that the Switchboard probably doesn't cater for this event but sometimes you can't help twiddling the wheel can you?

I am trying to create a Switchboard using the Switchboard Manager in MS Access 2000. I have managed to get the table created for the switchboard, however it hasn't actually created the form. Hopefully I will have a main switchboard which will in turn lead to three sub switchboards. Can anybody tell me how to get the form automatically created from the Switchboard Table if at all possible?

I was working in Access and everything disappeared from the screen. When I closed and reopened the file there was no switchboard. I can open tables and forms etc if I select a category from the View > Database Objects menu, and use the up/down keys and the Enter key, but I can't see what it is I am about to open. I was able to replicate this with another database by moving the switchboard up past the top of the screen and scrolling up to...

My application was set to open the Switchboard as the default startup form. It worked fine up until recently. Now it won't "remember" that the default form should be the Switchboard and the field under Tools > Startup is blank and won't retain a value. Have Access 97 on W2K Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I have accidentally deleted the switchboard of the database that I had created. The switchboard form doesn't appear when I click on the Forms section in Access. But heres the deal, when I click the Tools>Database Utilities> Switchboard Manager, the contents of the switch board show up with all the changes . It also allows me to make the changes. I would like to know is there any way to retrieve the switchboard form in the Forms...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
