I cannot seem to get around solid backgrounds on logo images I paste into Access 97 forms

MLH
I have a logo image that I can paste into MS Paint as an image with
clear background. Think of the logo as a black circle in a white,
rectangular background. When I paste into Paint, the white back-
ground can be made "clear" so it does NOT overwrite other image
data when I'm pasting into an existing picture. Just the circle would
appear after the paste is made.

However, when I try to accomplish the same thing with an Access
97 form, the image's background comes through as white. I really
wish I knew how to circumvent that. I'm quite flexible. I can convert
the image into most anything that can be later used in Access. Care
to comment?

You can load your image first into a MS Word and then manually copy and
paste it onto your form in Design view. The transparency will be
retained.
Alternatively see:
http://www.lebans.com/transpar*ent.htm
Transparent.zip is a database containing functions to allow for the
conversion of Bitmap, Gif, Jpeg, Enhanced Metafile and Metafile to an
Enhanced Metafile format supporting Transparent backgrounds.

Well, I tried pasting into MS Word, then cutting and
pasting onto an Access form. Then I tried the transparent
mdb conversion utility. That saved it as an EMF file. The
EMF file showed up as an icon in my form when I put it
there. The image would not display. Dunno why.

Oops.. spoke too soon. I had to set the image
control in MS Word before copying the image
and pasting into Access. I did that in MS Word
where it let me "pick" the transparent color. I
picked the white background and THEN copied
'n pasted into ms access and it worked.

thx for suggestion

You're kidding, right?
I think pasting a graphic that's destined for
an Access form into WP beforehand is
convoluted, something akin to reaching
behind your head with your right hand to
scratch your left cheek.

Is it possible to have 2 divs beside each other and one not wrap around? I realize the 2 div's are floating left but I can only think of this as the best solution for now. I am trying to get the thumbnail photos and the large home rendering on top not to wrap, and only the interior/exterior photos to wrap. What do you recommend? http://www.officeactivate.com/schuit/madison.shtml

I am trying to find out if there is a way to paste images to web page forms much like you can paste text. The reason being is we have a web based help desk site and users submit issues using a form that we made. We would like to be able to have them send a screen capture of an error they may be getting using the PrintScreen button but without them having to first save the image using an editor like MS Paint and then uploading it using a a...

A very small percentage of my visitors have complained that they cannot see the images on my site. This is a fabric site, and the pictures of the swatches are generated with ImageMagik, the rest of the images were created in Photoshop. I suspect that it is only the swatches that they cannot see and not the logo and other misc images. The link to the swatches used to be: <a class="smalltxtwht" href="./catalogue.cgi?ddisplay=1237"><img...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
