Counting total records in select query

Hi,

I have a query that has the following fields:

Business:
ID Number:
LastName:
EmpNo:
Hours1:
Hours2:
In the Hours1 criteria I have <>[ImportedSalFile]![HOURS]

So basically this query shows me all records where Hours1 and Hours2
that DO NOT match .

Is it possible to add another column to the query to show the amount of
records this query produces each time its ran. I export this query into
excel and wanted to be able to export the number of records for the
query, each time the query is run.

Many Thanks

Flick. x

Just trying to understand what you're trying to do here - you want all of
the records, and then a separate line that tells you the count of the total
records? If so, I'm afraid that's not the sort of thing a query can output
in one go - you'd need to put together a report with the output of your
existing query, plus the output of another query that counts the number of
records in your existing query. What is your query actually trying to show?
I can't tell from the details you've posted what the ID Number applies to,
otherwise I could be post some code for you...

I have 5 fields in a table into which numbers between 1 and 45 can be entered. What I am having trouble with is being able to find out is how many times a particular number appears, regardless of which of the 5 fields it was entered into. Can anyone suggest a remedy for this. Many Thanks Glenn

I appreciate the help on this group. I know I've posted a lot here the last couple of weeks, but I was thrown into a database project at my work with very little Access experience. No other employee knows anything about Access. I've searched Google Groups, and that has been a lot of help, but there are some questions that I just can't find the answer to. I'll try to take it easy on the group after this question. I have one more...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
