Changing forecolor of all fields in record and updating related tables in Access 2000

Hi, I'm not a programmer but would appreciate some help with the following.
I've been looking at various sites but cannot find the information I
require.

I have a table of strata plans and if we no longer manage the plan the date
this occurs gets entered into a field. What I would like to happen is for
all the fields in that record to change their forecolor to red as soon as
the DateLost field is no longer null.

I also have several related tables which have a tick box in them to say we
no longer manager the plan. At the same time that the above occurs I would
like to update the related tables by having the tick box field entered and
the forecolors of these records also to change to red.

Is it possible to do this automatically? If yes, how?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

This isn't possible in the tables themselves. Tables are basically just
buckets to hold your data. You shouldn't routinely be making entries
directly into the tables. Instead, you should be using forms for data entry.
On a form, you could use Conditional Formatting on the controls to change
the color as desired.

As far as checking the field in the other tables, you could do this
automatically through code. However, the real question is whether or not you
need those fields. Instead, there should be a relationship between those
tables and the table that you enter the date into. Once you have that, you
could use a query to access both tables at once and filter the query on the
records that have a date in the No Longer Managed field.

Let's say I have an html form with 20 or 30 fields in it. The form submits the fields via POST to a php page which updates a table in a database with the $_POST vars. Which makes more sense? 1) simply UPDATING the values for all fields in the table, whether or not any particular field has actually changed 2) running a second SELECT statement and comparing the $_POST vars to the returned values, and only UPDATING those that have...

I am attempting to build a database that profiles about 50 companies in a single industries. In a standard MS Word format, each profile would be about 20 pages of dense text and tables. In order to standardize our data gathering procedures, we want to impose specific buckets for analysts, some of whom will be temporary but highly paid workers, to enter relevant information. Ideally, we want know them to know without ambiguity where...

I have 8 tables in Access 2000, 1 Main table (Member Details) then 7 Tables that relate to this table using an ID from table 1. In all there are 262 fields in the 9 tables. I want to design a VB front end that has 6 tabs per record and when you click on the ADO Data Control you go through the records and all 262 fields from the different tables that are related. Is this best done in Access (Query) or other way. Not forgetting there...

Can you tell me how many fields Access will allow in a table. As I stated in a previous post, I need to track multiple measurements from machines 10 per day. In some cases this will give me 120 measurements or more. I could put one check on one record but I was hoping to find a way to put all 10 checks (120 measurements) into one record. So far I really haven't gotten a reply I understand other than do one record per check. I've been...

In the table there are 2 fields in which I wish to limit (i.e. No Duplicates) Although I do not want to limit them to "No Duplicates" separately. I need them to be limited to "No Duplicates" as if they were one field. The 2 fields are "Employee_Name" & "Training_Course". *(There is another table for Employees & another for Training Courses, both of which are related to this table.)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
