I have a client who is running several Access 97 databases that I have
written for them. They are about to upgrade to Access 2003. Is the
default file format of Access 2003 still Access 2000 the same as it
was in Access 2002?
I am running Access 2002 at the moment. Is there any reason for
testing purposes etc, for me to purchase Access 2003 if I am going to
recompile the Access 97 mdb files into Access 2000 format mde files
which...

If Access 20003 is installled on a computer witth Access 2000 runtime also
installed can this cause problems? Have uninstalled the runtime application
as a precaution, (however this was after the Access 2003 was installed), but
still can't view any databases when using Access 2003. After selecting a
database to open all that comes up is a blank screen with no database
window.
Thanks in advance

Could someone please help? I am using the 'defaultprt.zip' tool
provided by Ken Getz to change the default printer via VBA code (code
below). My problem is that once the default printer has been changed,
Access 2003 still directs the report to the former default printer.
Access 2003 picks up the new default printer setting only after I have
reopened the application. I have checked the default printer setting in
the OS control panel and the...

Is there a way to find out where an application was created from?
i.e. - work or home
i.e. - if application sits on a (work) server/network, the IT people know the
application is sitting there, but is there a way they can find out if that
application was put there from a CD or email or created at work?
Hint: It's not on a client/server database, just native jet database mdb
created on Access 2003 (default 2000)...

We are converting our projects to VS 2003 Professional from VS 2003 and
found that we cannot open the Stored Procedures inside of the Projects.
We can see the SP and it shows the fields, but when you double-click it, it
doesn't open it so you can edit it.
Also, when you drag a SP (or table for that matter), it creates a new
SqlConnection object everytime - even when there is one or two on the page.
This forces us to delete the new one...

My boss and I both have access 97 and access 2003 installed on our
systems.
Lately he has been having a lot of problems. Databases that won't
close. The database looks like it closes but access will not. And
other weird things...I just passed it off as just MS nothing new.
Yesterday I asked him to look at a little project...nothing much of
anything. I put it up on our server and he opened it and went into
design view. Its a form with...

Hi :) I have a user who is unable to open current reports, and when she tries to create a new report it gives the error: The wizard is unable to create your report. The user has Windows XP SP2, Office 2000 std SP3, Outlook 2003, and MS Access 2003. The report she is trying to open (and it doesn't give an error, it just doesn't open) is also created in Access 2003. She can open/create forms, links, everything else, just not Reports. Any ideas?...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
