MS Access 97 Graphs Print as Black Box

Di
Hi All,
I am trying to support a location that is behind in MS versions.
They are running MS Access 97 on Windows 98, which should be ok,
however whenever they try to print reports which contain graphs, some
print as black boxes. On preview though, the graphs are visible.

I have tried
1) Different computers
2) Different printers
3) Changing the method of declaring the row source
4) Deleting and redoing the graphs
5) Smaller reports to determine if it is a memory problem

etc..

Any ideas, I am at a total loss....

Thanks in advance,
D...

I had something similar occur with an app on A2003. I can't quite
recall exactly what I did to fix it, but I'm certain it had to do with
playing with the graph object backgrounds for the graph walls and
background.

I need to create image files (eg bmp or jpeg) of xy scatter graphs (i.e., graphs in which markers denote individual points; the markers need to be small polygons of various sizes, shapes, colors, shadings, etc. and there are thousands on them on each graph). Have been using MS Excel, but its limitations are unbelievable (only whole number sizes, no way around a 56 color palette, only low quality jpeg files so that when I publish the...

Hi All, I have a report in Microsoft Access 2000 that appears with standard blank font in a print preview and shaded grey font in a printout. I don't want it to be shaded and can't figure out how it got that way. This report is based on a simple query of the database. It is in landscape mode, but there's a lot of data and I have the margins set to 0.2" on the left and right. It's only a page long. The labels and text boxes on the...

I am trying to print some 2x6 labels on a SATO CL408e thermal label printer. The 2x6 labels are arranged in "landscape" mode with 2 labels per "sheet." When I attempt to print "x" copies of a 1 page label document, I get "x" formfeeds and "x" wasted labels. Is there any way to manipulate the .NET printing engine to do a over-under 2-up landscape printing? I'm thinking no, but maybe there's a way. The printer has the ability to sense the...

I have been tring to recreate a simple program that I wrote many years ago in quick basic. The program get name and address from a database, then the user will enter in info like order #, po # and starting box then number of boxes. In quick basic it was easy to send a form feed and print the next label. But this visual basic .net stuff has me pulling my hair out. I can print all the info to desired printer. But do not understand how to...

I need to include some simple (sparkline style) graphs in a web page that will have a liquid layout. Some viewers will be changing the font size to suit their display (sizes range from 320 to 2560 pixels). I want the graphs to change size proportional to the font enlargement viewers use. I did this sort of thing once before at http://cyclonestudios.com.au/aboutus/projects.html where the little colour patches under each project show...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
