Hi,
I want to Stop users to import my tables and queries into their
database. Is there some VB code or is only solution to make security
workgroup permission.
If this is the only solution please help me to create that file.
But I would be much appreciated with first solution.
Thanks
You can do numerous things to make it difficult for them to find your file
and/or the tables within, but the only real barrier is User-Level Security.
Even that can be broken if the person wishing to do so knows how to use a search
engine and is willing to spend a few dollars.
Bottom line is if the data *really* needs to be protected (from users) then it
doesn't belong in and MDB file.
Security is too broad and complex a topic to be given out in a newsgroup
posting. Google on "Access Security FAQ" and read as many links as you can and
then experiment on a dummy file. Only proceed on your real file when you have a
good handle on it.
My estimate is that 95% of the people who do security the first time do it wrong
and that 85% of those people never realize that they did it wrong.
