Link To Outlook Express

Re: Outlook Express

I'd like to get a log of the date and subject of all emails in my inbox
received from se****@xyz.com and a log of the date and subject of all emails
in my sentbox sent to se****@xyz.com. Is there a way for Access to link to
these Outlook Express folders or import from these Outlook Express folders
to get the sender, dates and subjects of the email therein where I could use
a query to get what I want?

Thanks for all help!

I don't believe it's possible. Unlike Outlook, Outlook Express isn't really
conducive to working with other applications.

Hi Steve,

Doug's right.

You could try exporting from Outlook Express to Outlook, which widens
the options. Alternatively, I believe there's third-party software that
can read the Outlook Express data store; a web search will find out
more.

Hi Steve,

Doug's right.

I think Doug, in this case (he's almost always right), is not right and I'm
reasonably confident that I could cobble something together in an hour that
would do what's requested by the original poster.

Perhaps, there are others who could do so.

Regradless of whether I am right or not about it's being able to be done,
this demonstrates why advertising is such an evil to everyone who gives to
and receives from this or any technical group.

Steve (Marie, Emily, Karen etc) is the, or one of the, busiest advertisers
in the group. In addition, he promotes a collection of VBA Code-Access
Solutions available on CD for $125 USD.

Am I willing to spend an hour to cobble up something when I think there's a
good possibility that it will not be used in some project Steve is doing,
not tested and enhanced by him, but rather directly sold by him as a
solution, or, after the group has tested and improved it, that it will end
up on Steve's CD?

I'm not willing right now. I have work to do (not all my customers have
terminated their relationships with me because of my political views ...
yet); maybe after coffee ....

It's my opinion that the quality of this group is not as high as it was a
few years ago and that part of the reason is advertising and the reluctance
of many others beyond me to publish their best ideas here when they feel
these ideas will be used directly and, perhaps, immediately, for work which
the they themselves may have been more qualified to do, and even wanted.

Summing up; who does advertising hurt? Everybody!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
