Hi,
Is there any code/routine to export a report as a word
document retaining the formatting. I have a requirment to produce
some fairly detailed statisitical reports for transmission by e-mail.
The reports require tweaking on a regular basis so I do not really
want to base a standard document on query data, but would prefer to
redesign the report as required and export that on completion. I know
I can save as rtf etc. but you lose all of the formatting which rather
defeats the object of producing a detailed and coherent report ?
Thanks

You can export an Access report as a Snapshot file (.snp). This retains all
formatting.
Everybody with Office XP and above has the Snapshot Viewer needed to view
the file.
If you don't have the viewer, it can be downloaded free from Microsoft.
The Snapshot Viewer allows the recipient to view and print, but not edit the
report.

Stephen Lebans has a a utility to output to an rtf that retains all the
formating. Unfortunately (though hugely impressively) it's all done
with images. This makes it look great on screen and when printed but
just about impossible to edit. You can check that out at http://www.lebans.com/ReportUtilities.htm.

Your options are export to a Word template and tweak when necessary or save
the report as a PDF document and email the PDF document.

You could export to RTF and then run a macro within Word to replace the
different fonts you've chosen in the report into Word Styles.

Is it possible to export a report to word and have it include the
graphics that are in the report?
I'd like to take some of our reports and export them to word so we can
email those to the client, but when I export, I lose the logo as well
as any graphics (grey line separaters, etc) and only get the text of
the reports.

Hello.
I am using an access 97 application that exports a report to RTF format,
which is subsequently emailed to various people.
The main informational field in the report is a free form memo field
which can be very short or very long.
When the report is created in access, the formatting is fine. If you
print it, is fine. No problem.

I have been fighting with this for days and your expert help is

is a OLE object type.

I'm having trouble with exporting reports to Word in the rtf format and
I'm hoping someone has a solution. The reports are losing their
formats. Not all the formating is lost but some is and of course it's
the really important parts that are lost. In one report the grouping is
lost and everything gets repeated.
I've created several reports that pull data from various tables then
they get exported to Word when they're run so the user can...

Hi,
When exporting a report to Word - all the formatting is exported with
no problems, with ONE exception.
Check boxes that show up in the reports are missing.
When exported to Word, I don't see the blank check boxes or the checked
boxes that show up in the Report.
Any ideas?

I have an ASP.NET website where I am showing off crystal reports to users by
exporting them to pdf format. Following is the code:
----------------
1 Private Sub ExportReport()
2 Dim oStream As System.IO.MemoryStream =
3 myReport.ExportToStream(
ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat)
4 Response.Clear()
5 Response.Buffer() = True

I am currently exporting a crystal report using code.
This works fine and exports the report to a word document onto disk
using
DiskFileDestinationOptions() and ExportOptions
However when i drill down the report (hence looking at a group), the
export i am doing exports the whole report not the current group view
on the crystalreportviewer.

I need to create word documents from an Access Report. Below is the code that I am using. It works but there are problems. The page breaks generated by the report don't always line up just right with where Word wants to break the page. So, sometimes I get one or two lines from the bottom of a page showing up at the top of a headerless page all by themselves. Then the Report page break comes and starts the next page with a header. So a 7-page...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
