I inherited a weird application. Part of it is in VB6 and part in
Access 2000. All of the reports and some of the forms are in Access
2000. The database is opened by the VB application.
Anyway I created a custom menu/toolbar. When the VB app opens the
Access database the original full menu is there even though in the
form/report I have...

I have an Access app that has been distributed with run-time installation to
many different customers over many years.
It is developed in Access 2000. The custom menu bar has had no problems in
the past.
However on one new computer it was installed on last week the custom 'Tools'
menu (which normally contains items such as 'Backup Data' and...

Hi Everybody
On Report Preview
Does anyone know of a way to disable the Minimum, Maximum and Close
buttons, so that the user cannot close by any other means that the
Toolbar button that I have supplied.
This is easy enough on Access 2000 FORMS in Properties>>Format etc, but
this is not available on a REPORT.

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access...

I know that it is possible to force Access 2007 to the display custom
menu bars for an Access database developed in an earlier version by
using the customisation settings in A2007 to nominate a custom menu
bar to display on startup.
However is it possible to achieve this from within the earlier
version, perhaps by using code, so that one...

Hi,
I have inherited a database that I am working with in Access 2003 but the client is utlizing/working with same database in Access 2007. My predecessor built this database using a custom menu/toolbar preventing any access to the form design toolbar. Is there any clear-cut method to bypass this menu and open the database with the standard menu...

Hi everyone
It is maybe a questions asked many times. I am trying to limite users' access to Database Windows to improve security. I am working on an Access Data Project in Access 2000 format as front end and SQL Server as backend.
The ideas in my mind so far are:
• Disable the F11 key
• Disable “Unhind” function on “Window” on Menu bar,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
