Hmm... *everything*??? Wow. May we worship you? Or, on the other
hand, you could *show* us all how good you are by answering some of
those really hard questions... why don't you start there. I mean, if
you're claiming to be the Messiah, you should be ready to prove it...

The question you want to ask is "how may I help you?"

If you wish to do this then, according to the newsgroup rules, you should
mark it OT and make sure it belongs to one of the list of approved
alternative topics of this newsgroup. I don't have this list to hand, but
it includes:
Kings of England
Things to put on toast
Places to hide from debt
Reasons to avoid potatoes

I am creating a class that has a method "Write" that I wish to make threadsafe. The method must block calling threads until the task performed in write is complete. Only 1 thread at a time can perform the task within "Write". 1-10 different threads may call "Write" simultaneously and continuously, some in a greedy manner. That is to say that some of the threads calling "Write" will take all they can get, while other threads may only call...

I'm having a problem creating a delay before each list item gets moved
( http://www.polisource.com/PublicMisc/list-splitter-timeout-bug.html
). Choose any number of columns, vertical layout, and view as a web
page. They'll be a small delay before the entire bunch of list items
converts from left-to-right to top-to-bottom order. I expected a delay
before each item is moved. It looks like I have to flush the buffer to
get setTimeout to work,...

When I hit my homepage the first time (e.g. after a reboot), the
server variable HTTP_COOKIE is empty. If I reload the page,
HTTP_COOKIE has got a value. This makes sense, but I'm looking to
request HTTP_COOKIE on the first page hit. Any ASP-based ideas?
(Otherwise I'll program a page reloader...)

Gurus,
Another question on one of the coveted Microsoft products: JIT
debugger with VS2005.
I have a managed app that builds great on one machine (Vista Home
basic, VS2005, JIT enabled for managed/unmanaged code). I can also
debug it on this machine with breakpoints and all.
Now I move the same code on another machine (XP Pro, VS2005, JIT

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
