Printing Multi-part Reports

Hi

I am looking into Oki ML 590 and ML 591 printers to see if any of these will
work with multi-part (multiple copies) continuous stationery for printing
invoices from access. Has anyone had any experience of these printers or can
recommend another one for printing on multi-part continuous stationery from
access?

Thanks

Hi John,

Yup, OKI 320 or 590's are a good choice...

We have a 320 that we use for 3-part invoices, and a 590 that prints
single-sheet reports our at our NAPA Auto Parts Store. They were both brand
new in about 1999... and still going strong!

Ribbons are readily available ... even in Olds, Alberta Canada (postal code
"E-I-E-I-O") <grin>

Our invoicing is done on a Solaris system, so I'd make sure that there is a
Windows device driver available.
I just checked, and yes there is:
http://my.okidata.com/pp-ML320.nsf/o...u?OpenFrameSet
so I can't see why you'd have any problems at all.

HTH,
Don

My program has a random smattering of print statements scattered throughout that are mainly a debugging aid. They are typically things like this: print "entering key mode" The code is multithreaded, and the printing typically happens in both the main thread and a worker thread doing serial port IO. The problem I am experiencing when the program is packaged up with py2exe is that

Greetings, (.NET 2.0, WinXP Pro/Server 2003, IE6 with latest service packs). I've decided to take advantage of the layout characteristics of HTML documents to simplify my printing tasks, but of course it's thrown up a whole host of new issues... I'm generating a multi page printable document in HTML from my app, and displaying it in a WebBrowser control. I've looked into using some CSS

The method for printing documents in .Net can be confusing, especially for newer users. I would like to create a way to simplify this process. My idea would be implemented using a PrintDocument (much like the current model), but my PrintDocument would have a Pages collection such that each time you need to have an additional page, you would just add another page to the collection and then use the page object for the actual drawing etc. ...

Hi, I'm working in a networked printer environment and within my application I'm using reporting services to create several documents. These documents may have different paper sources (trays) on the output printers, and some are duplex and some simplex. However, I'd like to group the documents together to ensure when output to a printer they are all printed together.

I have an application that prints documents that it creates. It uses what I believe is a standard .NET way of doing so, like this: PrintDocument pd = new PrintDocument(); pd.PrintPage += new PrintPageEventHandler (this.pd_PrintPage); PrintDialog PrintDialog1 = new PrintDialog(); PrintDialog1.Document = pd; DialogResult result = PrintDialog1.ShowDialog();

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
