Hi,
I am currently trying to write a simple game using vb.net
the form I am working on is 800*600 (this is set as the maximum size)
and autoscroll is set to true. The user moves around the screen by
moving a picturebox (sprite) with the cursor keys.
When the user hits the bottom of the screen I want the screen to
automatically scroll down to keep the picture box in view - The screen

I got the following code from an earlier posting (much earlier, like 1999)
in this ng. This is supposed to control the paper size selected to legal,
even if the default printer changes. Question is where do I stick this code,
so that my calling function can see it? In the form from which I print the
report?
TIA.

I have a form ‘Main’ and it is maximised, on the form is a command button to
open another form over the top I always want it to open in a window
restored, currently sometimes it opens maximised and sometimes it opens
restored. If it opens maximised and I then click restore the ‘Main’ form
also restores I want the main form always set to maximise. I have tried
attaching a macro (Action Restore) to the on open property of the other form...

I added the WebBrowser component to my toolbox,
then placed one on a form with other .NET components.
This much seems to have worked, but I do not understand
how to control the sucker from within my application.
Specifically, what sort of syntax is involved to get the
various interfaces (IHTMLWindow, IHTMLDocument3, etc)
in the internal objects and call functions in them?
What has worked is this:

We have been noticing that questions on vs.2005/2.0 don't appear to get much
in answers so I'm reposting some questions posted by some of the programmers
here in our organization that never got answered...
In 1.1 we always did our own myDataAdapter.fills and we liked that control
for lots of good reasons. Now the new DataSource (or is it a
TableAdapter:Dataset) automatically fills the Gridview. How can we control
that fill?
In a...

Hello,
I have a footer at the end of each article in my blog at
http://www.usernomics.com/news/user-interface-design-news.html .
The footer looks perfect in IE but has smaller text in Firefox and Opera.
For some reason, the CSS does not seem to be controlling the font size. The
CSS and HTML are below.
Does anyone know how I can get the CSS to control the Firefox and Opera

Hello,
If I create a form in Java with controls like Panels, textboxes... when I
stretch/shrink the form, all the controls can grow/shrink - along with the
text contained in the textboxes. This is convenient for resizing a form for
different screen resolutions.
I can't see how to do this /control this in .Net (VS2005). I have a user
that uses 800x600 resolution, and my apps appear very large on this user's
workstation. How can I...

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the forum and a Javascript beginner, I'd appreciate some help with a drop down box issue. Is it possble to limit the options/attributes in a drop down box based on how the attribute was rated in a previous question.
Basically, if a customer gives a rating of 'Very Satisfied' or 'Somewhat Satisfied' (values 1 and 2, respectively) to an attribute, that attribute is removed from the list of options in a dropdown box...

I have an ASP file that retrieves names from an Access database for 4 different categories of membership, which the visitor to the page selects (corporate, institutional, regular, or student). The DNS name is "cati", the names are specified in the "Last_names" field, and the categories are in the "categories" field.
l want the results sorted in alphabetic order by last name. However, the results appear to be in a totally random,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
