Reports: Access97

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. I'm trying to create a report
that will work similar to the label wizard in Access. I have a premade form I'm
attempting to fill with data from the db. I can manually make the information
fit, by making the report the full 8.5" x 11", however, when I attempt to size
the report so that an individual record prints in each one, the sizing is all
off. Is there a secret for dividing up the report page with .50 footer and .50
header with .25 and .251 repspectively right and left margins to get say
"three" (3) even records?

Also, does each record require the .50 header and footer to computated for
spacing also? If that's the case, you loose 3" in an 11" form????

Open the report in design view,. From the file menu select Page Setup
and then click on the Columns tab. Here you will be able to set the
margins etc for multi column reports.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried with the column setup and still no
success. Any assistance with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I have a form with three up on a page preprinted and Iwant to fill in this form
with my data. The records are NOT lining up. I have measure with a ruler and
can manually make a report that will fill in all the fields on the form, with
ONE record. I wish to fill in the form with different records.

The sizing for some reason makes the first record fit, but subsequent records
are off by nearly an inch or more. This is my dilema.

If you need to print 3 records per page on a pre-printed form, then
columns are not the answer.
Printing to a pre-printed form is usually a royal PITA.

You need to set the height of the detail section of the report to the
exact height of a SINGLE record on the pre-printed form. If your form
has 3 records per page (assuming A4), the detail section will be
around 3 - 3.5 inches in height.
Turn off headers and footers so that the detail section is the only
section in the report. Set your controls within the detail section to
match a single record on the pre-printed form.

When you preview the report 3 records should be printed per page with
each record immediately following the next. You then need to adjust
your top and bottom margins to line up with the pre-printed form.

Recently due to viruses I had to wipe my harddrive and reload everything. Now, in AccessXP(2000 and XP mode) all new reports and all reports in existing databases open in Fit to Page rather than 100% like they use to. I also have Access97 and 2000 installed and all reports in both of these open at 100%. In fact, any report that I open in Access2000 will open at 100% but when I open the same reports in AccessXP 2000 mode, they open Fit to...

I have an Access97 database that is used solely for a series of monthend reports. It is quite old, probably dates back to 1999 and has worked flawlessly through last month and has not been touched since then. The database resides on a network drive and has for a year or so. Today I executed the macro that runs the reports and the first report cannot be found. A report by that name is under the reports tab, but when I try to open it...

Need some advise.... Payroll program Access97. Payroll is printed then posted to a hx table thro' a query with the payroll calculations that freeze that payroll's numbers for that period. I was wondering if anyone knew how to create a report from information that you select on a form. I have a few of the fields on the form linked to a table, however some of the other ones are not linked, and are totally separate. Thanks. DC

Hello! I am writing VBA code in Access 97 to import an Excel 2000 Spreadsheet. I had hoped to do this using ODBC, but that was not to be, for who knows what reason. The problem is that I import the excel file into a table in Access that I name X. Then I run an append query to import the data into another table. I get an error message that says it "can't append all the records" due

We are evaluating the prospect of integrating and/or using Crystal Reports with some of our current products. Some of these are still in Access 97 and are running well. Since we cannot include the report wizard in a runtime environment, we are looking at ad hoc report writers like Crystal. Can we include Crystal with our runtimes and/or is there another report writer that we should be looking at? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

In the last 1-3 weeks, we have had numerous users of Task Manager 2007 (www.orbisoft.com) complain that they can no longer export certain reports (Task Manager 2007 uses a Sagekey.com Access 97 runtime) to Excel 2003 or Word 2003 format. They say they get an error message then both Task Manager 2007 and Office 2003 shut down. Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
