Hi to all!
A customer of mine told me some days ago that her IT-people told her
ACCESS would not be such a good idea for continuing with our project,
because Access will not be continued in the future. I haven't heard of
this. Does anybody know more about it?
The IT-People usually prefer Oracle. If they really want to go in this
direction, could our Access-application (if continued) be used as a
front end with an Oracle back end? Does...

We've had a very large A97 app running fine for the last seven years.
I've just converted to SQL Server backend, which is being tested, but
meanwhile the JET based version, running under terminal server, has
suddenly started running very slowly. The network engineer has thrown
up his hands and said "It's Access 97". I've checked out lots of
things including the Oplocks setting and other stuff from this NG, and
I think I've done everything...

We need some advice: We are thinking of upgrading our Access database
from Access 2000 to Access 2004.
How stable is MS Office 2003? (particularly Access 2003).

Does anyone know of any CVS plug-ins for VS.NET 2003. I searched google
and found a couple of projects that all seemed dead. Are there any

Hi All,
I have made a webservice in C# and it works fine in my machine. I ran into a
crazy problem when I wanted to deploy it in windows 2003 server. I have run
"aspnet_regiis.exe -i" to make sure that the extensions for .asmx file etc
are in place. I am getting http 404 when I give the url for the asmx file.
the http error code is wrong because I am dead sure that the file is there.
could you please let me know what else needs to be...

Warning to Access Developers about ACE.
DON'T use multivalued fields (MVF) they are worse than LookUp fields and
SubDatasheets, in fact they (MVFs) are a logical progression in the dumbing
down that started with these abominations.
Having seen and evaluated Access 2007 for a few months now I think this is a
terrible product for developers. If you must use it use Jet 4 or SQL Server
