Shortcut Problems

Hi,

I am distributing an Access 97 .mde application and am providing a
shortcut with a /runtime switch. Some of the Users have Office
Standard 2003, while others have Office Standard 97.

The shortcut copies (via a batch file) successfully to the User's
Desktop, and points to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\M SACCESS.EXE", but when the shortcut is opened, the
properties of the Target change to "C:\Program
Files\Micros~3\ Office\MSACCESS .EXE"

Any help you can offer would be appreciated?

Henry

Thought this question might be out of this NG's scope, there are always knowledgable people who might hava an answer. A hyperlink to a shortcut to a file returnes an empty screen, and the source code behind this empty screen is <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD> <BODY></BODY></HTML> Is this supposed to be like this? ...

Hi, I am taking a VB.Net programming class. I installed the VS.Net that came with my textbook. For some reason the keyboard shortcut to use the debug menu tool "step into" is f8 instead of f11. My book and the help documentation for the program say the shortcut for that command is f11. I seem to have alot of little problems like this with my VS.Net, that my friends do not. Any advice? Thanks

I am writing a C# app that has a Menu. Some of the menu items will have short cuts that do not exist in the Shortcut enum. I would like the custom shortcuts to appear on the menu but as far as I can tell there is no way to add a short cut that is not in the Shortcut enum. I have my on keyboard hook so I am not worried about the custom shortcut magically working. I just want it to appear nicely formated on the menu. Anyone have any...

In VS 2003 and VS 2005 beta 2 I am trying to write a simple program. It has a datagrid and a textbox along with a menubar. There is a command in the menu bar which is "Run Query" and has the shortcut key of Ctrl + R If I am typing in my textbox and hit Ctrl + R an extra r character will show up in the textbox. I decided to then try this in VS 2005 and the same thing happens. If I include the following, Private Sub...

I have some code that adds entries to the "Module Compiled" popup menu. Works fine in A97. You can open a module, right click, and the new entries are there for you to click. I converted it to A2000, and reapplied the new entries. But now when you open a module and right click (in A2K), the new entries are nowhere to be seen. If (while in the database window) you click on View, Toolbars, Customize, Toolbars tab, tick the Shortcut Menus...

There is one more problem I am facing but didn't get the solution. In my Setup Program I am not been able to create 2 things (when the program is intalled on the client machine ) : (1) create shortcut to my program/utility (2) Entry in Windows' Start --> Program Menu. Actually in my VB.Net solution I have two projects (1) MYPROGRAM (2) MYPROGRAM_INSTALLER. MYPROGRAM is a "Windows Application". MYPROGRAM_INSTALLER is a "SetUp Wizard"...

I am using VB.Net 2003. I have an application that is executed by dropping a file on a shortcut. If I use a shortcut that was created through VB.Net the application doesn't work and shows a circle with a slash through it when I try dropping a file onto the shortcut. If I create a shortcut by right-dragging it to the desktop the alpplication will work as expected. Any ideas what can be done to fix this? Thanks in advance. Mark

Hi all, This is slightly OT but it drives me nuts. Whenever I create a shortcut in the start menu (in Windows) of a python script, it will only execute it when the path where the script resides in contains no spaces. For example; d:\src\app\app.py If I drag that to the Start Menu it can be executed fine.

Hi, i'm developing a solution in VS9/CSharp. Now I'm constructing a deployment project for my appliation (thick, database driven, winforms, standard, good old type of application). During installation I also install the PostgreSQL database and along with that I need to execute some Custom Actions. I've created a Custom Installer component in CSharp and calls it on Install/Rollback/ uninstall and everything works great (Custom Actions...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
