Positioning Find and Replace Dialog Box on a Form

I have a form that I've added a "Find Record" button to. When the
button is clicked, I do a
DoCmd.RunComman d acCmdReplace
to get the standard Find and Replace dialog box to appear.
Is there a simple way I can position the box so that it comes up in
the bottom right hand corner of my form every time?
Thanks

Hi
Not easily I believe. Years ago code was posted for positioning
messageboxes which involved a timer and scanning window titles - ie
only an API fanatic would consider it.

I am trying to re-work an old site by replacing the html with css. On the main page, I have a logo image which I needed centred on the initial screen. I found the solution here: http://www.wpdfd.com/editorial/wpd0103.htm#toptip (the second example) The problem is, under the image is a large table. But using the above positioning, now the table starts at the top of the page and runs underneath the image.

I couldn't find any postings on how to turn the VS.Net positioning grid on and off in the Google archives, so I'm adding this posting for future reference. The VS.Net positioning grid is controlled for particular WinFowms via properties. The 'SnapToGrid' property controls grid-snapping, the 'DrawGrid' property controls display of the grid, and the 'Gridsize' property controls the spacing of the grid. Defaults for new Winforms can be set...

In VB 6, the Form_QueryUnload event had an UnloadMode parameter that let me find out *why* a form is unloading, and then conditionally cancel the event. In VB.NET, the Closing event passes a CancelEventArgs that lets me cancel the Close() operation, but is there still any way to find out *why* a form is closing? This app as a form that needs to be loaded at startup, closed only at shutdown, and then Show() / Hide() for the user. If...

Hello, Is there a form property that can be set for positioning a form with respect to the parent? I could have sworn I saw such a property like Center window, or Parent something... But I don't see that property in a dialog form that I want to use as a custom messagebox. What is the best way to position a dialogresult form with respect to the calling form? Or better yet, is it possible to position the standard messagebox to a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
