Outlook Distribution List from Access Query

I'm confused about the best way to accomplish this. Master Access db
holds email addresses for a variety of job titles. Personnel holding
those job titles and email addresses change all the time in the db.
How do I set up an Outlook distibution list that basically runs a
pre-defined Access query to retrieve the most current email addresses
any time that particular distribution list is used? I'm either not
understanding most of the help docs on this topic that I've found, or
they seem to pertain to creating static entries in the Outlook address
book. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

One option is to use Automation and run the event from Access. Just
open the query in code and add the records to the recipients
collection of the message. There's sample automation in the
Developer's Handbook.

I've got RH9 Linux with default PHP. Is there a way to send email on Linux to an Exchange Server from PHP and/or other tools when there is *NOT* SMTP access? Has anyone figured out a way to use PHP to get inside an OWA (Microsoft Outlook Web Access) website to send email that way? The reason I ask is because my corporate office is going to do away with our rogue SMTP server access and force everything through Exchange

I am faced with quite a conundrum. I have been assigned to develop a contact database, that can be queried using many different criterion. Now the hardest part is, my clients want to view the contact information including their e-mails and eventually send them e-mails. Now the output could be a group of 50 people that matched the criterion, and my client wants to be able to e-mail to all of them, preferably with a single click, just like...

Problem Statement: Mary wants to share a distribution list of approximately 1000-2000 people with 3 other people. Sorfar I found three forms of address books that we can use for this. 1. The Outlook contacts. The distribution list can only contain around 130 people maximum. The requestor does not want to manage many small separate lists. I have got the error regardless of using outlook 2003 or 2000 when trying to add more than...

I was able to successfully link my Outlook Contacts table to an Access Database and create an entry form. Unfortunately the Displayname field which is one of the key fields for how the contact is stored states that it is an expression and will not accept entry, nor will it automatically conjoin the first and last names as it would normally do if you entered it in an outlook form. Without this when you click on the entry in outlook instead...

I am running MS Access 2007 and I want to update an Outlook Address book from my Access Database. I started out by importing the Outlook Address Book as a linked table and it linked fine. I then built a query to filter a master contact list of contacts and I made it an append query to added to the linked Outlook address book table. However, I am getting an error message that says I do not have the necessary permissions to use this object. At...

This must be a common operation, but I have searched this newsgroup and have wrestled with the help messages, and I seem to need help with this simple task. I have an Access 2000 database which, via a query, can generate a list of e-mail addresses. I can export this list, if necessary. There may be hundreds of names in this list. Now, I want to send e-mail to everyone on this list. I can copy the list onto the clipboard (all 300...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
