Hi,
I have a form which is opened from a button on another form. The form is
used to display a list of records from a recordset in Continuous Mode. It
is sized vertically to display about 25 rows and has a vertical scrollbar.
This form has been working perfectly for weeks.
However, I must have done something recently because now the detail section
displays only one row at a time. That is, the form has shrunk vertically to
about 3
cm...

Hi,
I want to save the form position when the user close it. I tried to
place the coordinate saving code in my destructor, but it is not
triggered when I assign the form to null.
Where should I place my code to save the coord. when the form close?

I have an application with a master form with a tab control containing
nine tabs, each tab contains a subform. I have command buttons on my
main form including: Save , Cancel , Close.
My question is, how can I prevent Access from auto-saving changed or
entered data on both the main form and any subform?
The main goal is to force the user to use the 'Save' button to save any
data. I need the 'Cancel' button to just undo any changes...

I'm looking for input into my decision to switch to ADO and unbound
forms. I get tired of having to block all of the ways a user can
unknowingly save a record, like using the PageUp, PageDown keys and the
scroll wheel on the mouse. Also, I think that as the database grows in
size that it will eventually be moved to SQL Server 2005 Express.
With all of that said I started using ADO to manually work with my

Something I have run into using VB Express 2005 with mdi forms.
I have not been able to re-create this but I'll let out the information on
how I came about fixing this. As it cost me about 4 hours last night so it
might be a good read for anyone who uses mdi's.

I am trying to save the contents of a form as a bitmap and am unsure how to do this. I can use the savepicture command to save the form as a bitmap but the contents is not intact as you would expect. There is 1 picture box on the form which I wish to save with the form so really a full screen shot of the form.

I have a win form using VB.NET that needs to set some values prior to updating a SQL database. The values being stored are computed at the time the user is saving the data. It is based on other data fields on the form, that are bound to the data source.
Where can I accomplish this.
(1) Field validation will not work since not all fields on the form need to be completed prior to saving.

Using C# 3.5
I have a form that calls many other sub-forms. Typically there will be
five forms open at the same time.
If the main form is closed all the sub forms are also closed.
Is there a standard way to gain control within the sub-forms to do
individual clean-up prior to their removal?
