Automated entries in form

I have a table named CASES based used to store data for a small
insurance company used to keep track of all the different forms used
for a specific client.
Some field refers to a different forms and are named with the form
name (ex. A, B, C, etc.). Each form requires a Date Received field and
a Date Cleared field. The fields wich are used for these entries are
simply named ARECD, ACLD, BRECD, BCLD, CRECD, CCLD, etc.)

I was wandering if it is possible to store an automated date (should
be the current date) in the Date Fields, when selecting a form.

FOr example, after that I type a form (it is done through a cbo), I
would like that in the associated Date field, the current date in
automatically entered.

Thanks.

Try this:
Selecting time-stamped dates
the Now() function is quite handy because it stamps a very
precise date and time into the time-stamped field. However, at some
point you may want to go back and summarize or select by dates. For
example, the Customers table has a time-stamp that records when each
record is added to the table. The code required for this follows as
part of the form's BeforeInsert event.

Private Sub Form_BeforeInse rt(Cancel As Interger)
Me.RecordCreate d = Now
End Sub

Hi, after coding for days on stupid form validations - Like: strings (min / max length), numbers(min / max value), money(min / max value), postcodes(min / max value), telefon numbers, email adresses and so on. I thought it might be a better way to programm an automated, dynamic form validation that works for all kinds of fields, shows the necessary error messages and highlights the coresponding form fields.

I have added a combo-box to a form but it frequently fails to display all entries in the table it is based on. There are 43 entries in the table; the control initially displayed only the first 12. I inserted a query between the table and combo-box; it then displayed the first 17 entries. By selecting the first few letters of the last entry I managed to enter it into one record, and after that the combo-box showed all entries. Until...

I have a textbox for storing the URL to a web page. I figured the person could simply copy the URL from IE and paste it into the text box. The client would like to have a more automated process. We came upon one "glitch". We pasted the URL into the Access text box and went back to it and it didn't go to the right page. The reason is that frames were used in the page so although the page was OK, the content wasn't. To overcome that,...

Nowadays, most websites make use of CAPTCHA to prevent automated Form submission. Can someone please give me examples of how automated Form submission can be achieved? It's not that I intend to do some nefarious activities; rather I don't understand how can automated Form submission be done other than the website developer coding it (for e.g. using JavaScript to automatically post a Form, say, after 2 minutes). Thanks,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
