Hello,
I inherited an Access application from a previous coworker. It seems
the Spell Check is never enabled unless I open the application by
holding down the shift key and double clicking the application icon at
the same time.
How can I enable the spell check all the time?
I saw some code posted by Terry Wickenden in this newsgroup.
unfortunately his code didn't work for me.

There's this app I wrote a long time ago for a client who uses it to
administer the database content that drives their Web site. Last time I was
in there' I notices a lot of embarassing typos in the data, and since this
data is published on their Web site which is their primary interface to their
customers, that's a bad thing.
I was thinking it would be nice if I could automatically spell check certain
fields, and somehow use the Access...

In VB6, you could set a check box to checked, unchecked, or greyed. The
latter would be used to show a setting but disable the control.
In .Net, the third choice is not greyed, but indeterminate. And the doc
says it shows it as greyed, but checked. So how do you show greyed and
unchecked?
Disabling the control in total greys out the control's text which is less
than desirable.

I haven't been able to find any fixes for this. I have a form with two
memo fields. Sometimes when you push the spell check button or press
F7 the spell check goes into an infinite loop. If you don't have any
misspelled words, it just hangs. If you choose to ignore a misspelled
word, it will keep looping and asking you about the word you chose to
ignore. If you change that word, access will hang while the spell
check continuously...

Is there way to have control over the MS-Access spell checking (besides just
launching it)? We want to tell it to check all records, but skip certain
fields (or, alternatively, ONLY check certain fields). Is that possible?
Alternatively, if that's not, we noticed that the spell checker skips fields
that are disabled. So one could disable the fields to be skipped; run the
spell checker; and then re-enable those fields when done. But how...
