In Access 2000 on Citrix, we have an app which uses an MDE with a customized
and limited menu bar, "AppMenu" across the top of the Access screen. This
menu bar is specified in the "Startup" option box of the MDB. (In the box
"Allow Full Menus" and "Allow Shortcut Default" are checked.
One of the users has apparently undocked the menu bar, then closed it by
clicking the 'X' in the upper right hand corner. The menu bar has
disappeared, and we cannot figure out how to get it back for this user. We
have erased her MDE and put in a new one, but the menu bar is still missing.
All other users, using their own MDE's in their own folders are OK.
It looks to me like an entry has been made in the Windows registry for this
user and it is keeping the menu bar closed. It there a way to get this menu
bar back. Could we somehow load the MDB into her folder and get it back
that way?
Many thanks

How about #2, from the help? (see the last sentence of #2 and see if
that'll do it...)
Show or hide a toolbar, menu bar, or shortcut menu
1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
2. On the Toolbars tab, select or clear the check box for the item you
want to show or hide. To show a particular shortcut menu, select
Shortcut Menus, click the category for the shortcut menu you want to
show, then click the name of the shortcut menu. To show any custom
shortcut menus, click the Custom category.

I cant seem to find a straight answer on the following.
I want to programmatically hide all menus except a basic custom report
menu (during report preview) and right click pop-up A-Z sorting on
datasheets (for subforms).
I would like to do this on startup of the application.
To be clear:

We've implemented functionality to allow a user to download a document (any

Response.Clear()
Response.ContentType = "application/x-msdownload"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" &
System.IO.Path.GetFileName(FilePath))
Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", File.Length.ToString())
Response.WriteFile(FilePath)
Response.End()

Is there a decent explanation of how menu merging with MDI forms work in
VB.NET? I've read through the online help and it still seems that whenever
I change menus around or whatever, it breaks everything. VB6, as repetitive
as it was to retype menus, was at least consistent. It seems that VB.NET
throws menu items wherever it feels like.

Hey All,
On my last compile something strange just happened. My main menu bar
just disappeared from both my form designer view and the running
application. I can't seem to get it back. All the code is still intact,
it's just... gone! I tried reversing what I changed on the last compile
but it's still gone. I even added a new one and then renamed all the
items to the new menu - then that one disappeared. I am using Visual
Studio .NET 2003

I have a right click menu on my page and when I right click but click away instead of choosing an option, I get very weird behavior on the rest of the page. The text input controls are unable to receive focus. It appears that the right click menu is retaining focus even though it has disappeared. Even though I can't see the right click menu, navigating up/down with the keyboard arrows and pressing enter executes options on the now-invisible...

I am running Windows XP Home SP2. On the lower right side of the pop-up start menu there is normally a magnifying glass (icon) next to the word "search" in between links for "help and support" and "run".
My "search" icon (and thus my link) in my start menu has disappeared and I have no idea how to restore it.
This search icon/link appears, though, at the top of and on the left-hand side of the window that opens when I click "my...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
