Problems making new records through the form wizard

uv
Hi!
I'm having problems writing new records into the dtatabase as well as deleting.
I have tried doing so by adding the control buttons to a form.
Unfortunately I'm only succesful in creating the first record and nothing more.
Any guidance or help will be highly appreciated.

Look at the navigation buttons. If the new record button (one with asterisk) is
grayed out, either the basis of your form is not updateable or go to the form's
properties and look under the Data tab to see if the Allow Additions property is
set to No.

Hi!
Thank you for your reply.
The control button is not grayed out and the Data Allow property is set
on yes.
So that leaves us with the database not being updatable possibility.
The thing is, though, that I can create 1 record and submit it into the
database.
And why could the database not be updatable?
Thank you for your help,
uv

From what you describe, your database seems to be updateable. If it was not
updateable, you wouldn't even be able to add the first record. The far right
navigation button (new record) would be grayed out. Suggest you do the
following:
1. Verify that when you try and add the first record that it actually becomes
recorded in the table
2. Determine what happens when you add the first record, close the form, reopen
the form and try and add another record
3. Go to the table. Is there a new record row?
4. Try adding more than one record directly into the table
5. Describe in detail what happens when you try to add a second record to the
form

This will need to be read in Access for Office 2000. I am creating a database to track student athletes. I have created the following tables. Hi! I'm having problems submitting a new record through the form. I'm working with the wizard and I've added a control button to my form for entering entering a new record but for some reason it only works for the first record I enter. The same goes for deleting a record. It says I can't access the records, and that goes for both making or deleting. I'd appreciate your help very much, uv

Can one set limits on html imported records in Access 97? For example, would like to prohibit importing records or a group of records whose ReferenceID number is not within an acceptable number range. Can this be done by modifying the wizard code. If so, where and how? A second, less desirable option, would be an OnOpen form message that states there are recent records imported that are not within the acceptable range and must be deleted...

Hi, hope you guys can help. I have set up a simple one table db to play with using VB express and the form sees data already entered but when I use the save button on the form it does not change or add any of the new records. BTW I used the wizard to drag the table from data sources window which adds several properties to the form. Any ideas why the DB lets you see the data but will not accept updates?

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
