I need to demostrate, in a forensic job, that I can change (insert,
update, delete) records in a table of an access database without
trace. How can I do
this ? I plan to make the queries or export to excel, make the changes
and import again. Does access logs this change.
Very important: Exists any kind of date/time that access manage
internaly. Something like MSysObects ? If exists how can I change?

I'm sure there are causes for computer bloat. I've wondered if it came
from running queries. I have lots of queries that are created within my
forms, sometimes reports and modules. Are these the culprits? How
about if you had a query that you constantly changed the SQL? Or is it
caused simply by the use of adding/deleting/modifying the records.

I *know* I've been here before some years back, but can't for the life of me
recall the details.
My application is growing from about five megs to over a hundred megs in the
course of a 6-8 hour batch run that performs something on the order of 1.2
million computations.
The back end also grows (from about 50 megs to a half gig), but I would expect
this and plan to compress it after the process.

I am a complete idiot when it comes to access. Now that said, I work
for a computer security company and one of our customers came to us
with an access problem.
They had been running fine for a long time. Then about a month ago
there main server that hosted all the .mdb files crashed. So they
restored everything to a new server (I believe 2003 server).
Everything was fine for 2 weeks, then one morning they came in and the

I need to convert a 17mb access 2000 db to Oracle and house it in a
Citrix farm. The issue: we have never converted an Access Db to Oracle
but can probably use Oracle's Workbench to assist with this. Also - the
citrix folks do not want us to keep the FE in Access as the queries and
other activities consume a lot of power. The users will be in 3
different offices across the globe all accessing the 1 Oracle DB in
Citrix.

Is there a tool that will convert the Access queries and forms to ASP?
Sorta like "splitting" the database... but instead of an Access Front
End... have an ASP front end?

I have recently been doing a conversion for my boss for a access 2000 database (both front and backend) to a MSSQL backend.
I finished the conversion today (as quite a lot of the code / queries ran slow due to access running the queries locally rather than on the server). We've had a multiuser .mdb file on a network share for years. I know
it's not ideal, but it's worked well from Access 2000 to 2003. Ever

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
