We have an Access data base with severl tables, queries and forms.
We want to put it on the web.
Is there a tool that will convert the Access queries and forms to ASP?
Sorta like "splitting" the database... but instead of an Access Front
End... have an ASP front end?
Thanks for any help.

The tool is your own serverside asp vbscript or jscript programming.

I've never seen one that does even a halfway decent job. Back in the A200
days, there was something called ADP which was roundly defiled. Maybe they
improved it in later versions, but you won't find help with it here: for
that you will need to go to the Access groups.

I've developed years ago a small business application (about ten tables,
basic relationships, 10 forms, 3 reports a few queries) with Borland Paradox
7, most of it developed with wizards and little ObjectPAL coding.
Old'n'crappy.
Seriuosly thinking rewriting it from scratch using MS SQL server 2000 as the
DB platform.
Low on time.

Hi,
I'm converting an Access 2000 database to Sql Server and must be
missing something obvious.
Using the Import utility in Sql Server, the Access queries seem to get
executed and the resultant data imported as tables. Oops!
Using the Upsize lizard in Access 2003, the queries aren't even in the
selection list of "tables" to upsize. It looks like the Upsize wizard

Hi all -
I'm wondering if anyone has (or knows of) a tool that will allow me to
search through VB code, tables, queries, reports, forms, and other
objects, for references to all other types of objects.
That's not really that clear, so here's an example:
If I have a table named
"table_i_would_like_to_delete_but_don't_know_if_any_object_is_using_it",

Access 2000 - Is there a 3rd party tool available, or perhaps some method
built into Access 2000, which could isolate unused Access reports, queries,
forms, etc?
I have a 5 year old app which has not always been cleaned up. I know there
are quite a few such no longer used items. I have a "Find" utility which is
good, but I need to look for every component individually - it is very time
consuming because there are hundreds of components...

Hey guys- not sure where this post fits in, so I cc'd a few other groups as

I have someone creating a database for me in Access 2000 (or is it called
XP?). When it's all done, I'd like it to be online via the web. Ultimately
I'd like just an online database accessed via ASP, PHP, CGI, etc- something
(doesn't matter) but where various employees can access the thing from
anywhere and do their work. It's been...

I have a project going on to store data for inventory information. Creating
a database with access makes me realise all things like the data tables and
user interface(forms) and queries are all incorporated to one file. I wish
to split the user interface from the database table itself so that the user
interface can be stored locally on a local computer and the data(tables) is
stored in the server. Is there any way we can do this? Having VB...

I need to convert a 17mb access 2000 db to Oracle and house it in a
Citrix farm. The issue: we have never converted an Access Db to Oracle
but can probably use Oracle's Workbench to assist with this. Also - the
citrix folks do not want us to keep the FE in Access as the queries and
other activities consume a lot of power. The users will be in 3
different offices across the globe all accessing the 1 Oracle DB in
Citrix.
Does anyone have...

Anyone have experience with converting an access app from Jet database
to Mysql? I am specifically looking for any changes I would have to
make to my access forms, queries, modules, vba code, etc. I understand
there are some data format differences in text field types and date
types that need to be addressed if converting from Jet to Mysql. But
other than things that have to be addressed when converting, what other
changes must I make?...

Looking to see how many people could use this kind of tool.
I've got several large databases I've developed in Access with MySQL as
the back-end.
I've started using Linux instead of windows and the only thing I can't
migrate is my Access databases.
I'm looking to export them in a standard file format, then provide
convert functionality into SWT, Flash, HTML, Native and/or some other
formats.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
