Hello,
We have a basic report that prints a customer's name followed by their order
detail lines (part#, qty, price, ext price, etc). We setup the detail
section to print the rows tightly together like we want. To ensure that all
customers appear on the report -- even those without orders -- we use a
query to LEFT JOIN the Customer file to the Orders file. However, customers
without orders have a blank detail line and we want to...

I've got a TextBox in a page header that I'm using to print a variable
report header field that reflects the parameters selected for the
report. I'm using a TextBox rather than a Label so that I can set Can
Grow and Can Shrink parameters to cater for multiple lines.
The problem I'm having is that when the Text Box grows, the page
header section doesn't. The column headers under the header field get
cut off.
Any suggestions?

Hello,
I have a report that contains a memo field that can contain quite a bit of
information. There are actually a couple of fields like this. When I use
can grow / can shrink, the report looks to be a mess. I have visible
borders on the fields, which is how the customer wants it, but I would like
to have all the fields uniform, so that all the fields are as tall as the
tallest field. I.e. if the memo field expands the height of...

Hi,
I have a report that has fields that grow/shrink. These reports each
have an image as a background. For records that cause the boxes to
shrink / grow I get a second page that only has the image background.
I don't, however, get the section margins are wider than the report
margins....
I'm dealing with 8.5x11 printouts, and the printers I have available

Hello,
I have a calendar report which uses 30 copies of a sub-report to build
each day. Working just fine except:
Let's say January 16th, there are 2 items to be listed for that date
and the sub-report grows to a height of 0.5".
I hit Next Page, go to February. There are now 4 items that need to be
listed in that box. But instead of growing to accomodate these 4

Hi everyone,
I have installed Stephan Leban's code to create a text box with a justified text in Access Report. This worked perfectly well. However, I need your help with regards to 2 problems:
1- the new text box (which has the justified text) does not allow me to make it grow and shrink to suit my text.
2- also the box doesn't read Arabic text. It shows the letter as question marks.
I am using Access 2002, on a Windows XP.
I would be...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
