I am trying to sort a column of numbers in a large . How do I build my
query? Thanx
Example:
11

want to sort and get a result set like
2
2
3
9
11
55
..
..
.. 3 1841
Robert,
If your numbers are always all digits as you show here, go to your table and
change the data type to Integer if your numbers will always be between -32000
and +32000 or to Long if outside this range. Then in your query you simply
include the number field in the query and set the sort to ascending.

Thanx, I changed the datatype to int. Did not like that (I suspect there
were some records that caused it some troubles). From your suggestion
regarding datatypes I then started to experiment and found the decimal data
type worked.

Robert, would it be possible to use a Double instead of a Decimal size
number field?
Access is not capable of sorting the Decimal field reliably. For details,

Incorrect Sorting (Decimal fields)

Hello,
I am at wit's end with an array sorting problem. I have a
simple table-sorting function which must, at times, sort on columns that
include entries with nothing but a space (@nbsp;). I want all of the
spaces to be put in the first slots of the array. IE 6 does this. But
Firefox 0.9.1 doesn't, and I don't know why.
I have not been able to reproduce it in very simple form (which
is itself a puzzle). But example code is...

Hi
I am running a PHP program that connects to an Access 2000 database
via ODBC:
$results = odbc_exec($connection_id, $sql_select);
Is it possible to sort the contents of $results? I wish to use a
regex-based sort order that you can't do in Access 2000* SQL with
"ORDER BY".

Using VB.NET
I have a ListView with several columns.
Two columns contain integer values, while the remaining contain string
values.
I am confused as to how I would provide functionality to sort columns
based on the column header the user has clicked in both Ascending and
Descending formats.

Hi,
I am working on a program that simulates one of the elements of ATM.
The simulation stores events which occurs every some milliseconds for a
certain amount of time. Every time that an event is stored in a double
linked list, the whole list is sorted for the next round.
My problem appears when subjecting the program to heavy load, that is,
when I run the simulation for more than 10,000 miliseconds (every event
occurs in...

Hi,
I'm, what it turns out to be, fooling around with 3-tier design.
At several websites people get really enthusiastic about using custom
dataobjects instead of datasets/-tables.
While trying to write such layers myself I got stuck on how to get
filtered or sorted data from the data-layer.
This is what I got:

I am reposting a question from about 3 weeks ago ("sorting capability").
I have an aspx page in which I get the data from a database dynamically,
through C# code, by creating a dynamic table using TableHeaderCell and
TableHeaderRow.
The data is binded to the table by using a DataSet and Data Reader.
The responses on the forum made me think that it would be easier to sort the
data in the table (when clicking on the header column), by...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
