How do you convert a user inputted date to a unix timestamp before
insterting it into your database? I have a form, with a textfield for
a date that the user inputs in the format mm-dd-yyyy and three dropdow
boxes for hours, minutes, and AM/PM. All of these need to be considered
together and converted to one Unix Timestamp and then inserted to the
MYSQL date field. The type of field is INT (11) so that I can instead
of the standard...

I'm trying to run a SQL query but can't find any records when trying to
select a certain date. Here's the sql:
SELECT field 1, field2, date_and_time,
FROM table1
WHERE date_and_time = '01-SEP-02'
I'm getting no results. The date_and_time field is formatted like this:
2002-SEP-02 00:01:04

I have a software application with an Access front end and an Access backend
to house the data. Recently I converted the backend to MySQL. The Access
frontend works fine connecting to the MySQL backend.
The issue I have now is that I also have a syncronized database on a PDA. I
was using ActiveSync and Pocket Access to create the database on the PDA and
keep it syncronized with my PC (backend) database. I'm using eVB programs
to...

Hi,
I've used standard date functions in the past, but need to create
something a little different, as I am working on an investment
calculator.
What I need to do is validate two dates, and check for a complete
years. And a complete year is from day 1 until the proceeding day the
following year. A couple of examples:

Hi,
I`m trying to do date calculations in three types of time zones: local,
GMT and specified. The issue I am facing is that I need to be able to
specify a date in the proper time zone, and I`m having a heck of a time
doing so.
I have created a form where I use drop downs do specify year, month,
date, hour, minute and seconds. When the form is loaded, the dropdowns
have to display the proper values for the current time zone type. This

Hello All
I'm in the middle of moving a MS Access DB to a MySql backend.
I have figured out about 90% of the problems I have faced, execpt
for this one.
I have 3 Queries, which pull records depending on a date range.
(Today,Last 7 Days,Next 7 Days) The one I'm having problems with
is the "Last 7 Days" Query.

I've developed an Access 2002 database which will be deployed with the
backend on
a server and frontend on the users' PCs. I've now been advised that new
employees will
be given laptops with Access 2003 installed and that the server software
will not be
updated. Also some of the users are using Access 2000 and some Access 2002.
My question is - will this work? There is a lack of IT support in this
department - they've
contracted with...

Is this possible to have the 97 users with 97 front end, 2000 users
with 2000 front end, 2002 users with 2002 front end, and 2003 users
with 2003 front end all linked up to an access 97 backend?
We are currently planning on upgrading workstations with either 2000,
2002, 2003. the criteria for the specific version will depend on the
IT department. I would like to know if we have several different
office versions will it work to have...

On my machine in the office I change the computer setting to English (UK) so
the date format is dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy for US.
This problem happens in either Access or SQL Server.
In the database I have a table with Date/time column. The database is
located on a machine that is set to dd/mm/yyyy also.
When I enter date 7/1/08 (as in January 7, 2008), it stores it in the
database as 1/7/08 instead of 7/1/08. Why is it like that...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
