Setup for ms-access program

I have made a Setup for a ms-access program with the package and
deployment wizard of ms-office 2000. When installing my program with
the Setup, it will make a shortcut to start the program.
Question: Is it possible to make a Setup that also arrages my own icon
in the shortcut, and how??

I've never found a way to do this when packaging with the deployment wizard.
I ended up purchasing software to deploy my Access applications. For $49 and
lifetime updates, I think it is well worth it. You should download a copy
and give it a try. Very easy to use and a lot more flexible than the
deployment wizard.

Hi we see some strange behavior with the latest version of our deployment package Background We have a .Net product that is deployed via a website. Developed with VS.Net 2003, the deployment project uses a "Web bootstrapper" and has a valid signature On the download site we have to files - the product.ms - the Setup.Exe (encoded with the url to the product.msi file)

Hi We in our company build asp.net and MS SQL Server apps for deployment on clients' machines. We have created an Installer class (DBInstaller) which runs several scripts to build a database, populate it will data, etc. I would like to be able to create a setup file, which, if the application is NOT installed on the client computer, installs from scratch. This already works in the MSI file we create. However, if the application DOES...

I have an app that includes media files (graphics) and those included in the msi setup. They are not 100% necessary and can change. The problem is if I delete one of them, then the next time I run my app, it launches windows installer ---I assume trying to correct the problem. What should I do in my setup to prevent this? Thanks,

I've written an Add-in for MS Outlook and in Visual Studio .NET 2003, I also created a setup project to install the add-in. It all works well. When the user double-clicks on the .msi file to launch the setup, there's this choice of having the application installed "Just for me" or for "Everyone" using that computer. I noticed that even when the user selects "Everyone", the setup script writes the entries for registering the Add-in with...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
