Problems with mixed environment (Access 2000 and Access XP)

Some computers in our office have Access 2000 and others have Access
XP. The original database was written in Access 2000. Is there a
reason that code has some problems while being run on the Access XP
machines?

I don't know, what problems are you seeing? References would be the most
likely problem. Check this for further information.

I think there should be no problem.

Except if something relevant to Access 2000 is hardcoded into the app,
like the default location of MSACCESS.exe file, for example (the
default folder is different in Access XP)

This past weekend I upgraded a server from SQL 7.0 to SQL 2000. This is an NT server. Service Pack 3a was also installed as well the cumulative security patch. SQL Server is in mixed mode (as it was before the upgrade). The upgrade went fine..no problems. Jobs ran, power users accessed the database directly and through their application. However, Monday morning all users who were not local Windows administrators on the server could...

I have a project where the GUI is in VB.NET, the libraries in unmanaged C++ which is wrapped in managed C++ and compiled as DLL. The application runs fine on Windows 2000 with VC++ development environment installed, but fails to load on any Windows 2000 system with only the .NET Framework (tried .NET Framework SDK too) installed. Tried suggestions given in "Mixed DLL Loading Problem"

Hi! I'm currently developing a DLL that makes use of C++ and .net (mixed) using Visual Studio 2003. Now, as I wanted to move to the new Visual Studio 2005, I converted this project into the new format (compiling with /clr:OldSyntax): everything works and compiles fine. Unfortunately, I cannot link to the newly created DLL from any other application/DLL: LNK2019: unresolved external symbol. I've checked the DLL

Role-based security for an ASP/ASP.NET mixed environment Hello: My co-worker and I have been charged with designing role-based security for our intranet. The technologies we have to work with are ASP and ASP.NET. This security design must support *both* technologies. Currently, we have a successful collection of both ASP and ASP.NET applications with an identical look and feel; you'd only know they are different by virtue of an ASP...

Hi All, I have an unmanaged C++ application that references a mixed mode image DLL (mixed managed and unmanaged). Under .NET 1.1 we could trust the dll (the mixed mode dll) by running the following command line: caspol.exe -polchgprompt off -machine -addgroup 1 -url "file://<UNC path to dll>\mixedMode.dll" FullTrust ame "GroupName" -polchgprompt on

Hey there, this will be somewhat a long post, but any response is appreciated! I have done many PInvoke in the past from C++ to C#, but I did PInvoke within C# not C++/CLI. Can someone explain more why C++/CLI would be better to PInvoke than doing the PInvoke in C#? Because, usually in C# as you already know we use DLLImport and extern

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
