I want to be able to add a clock to the title of a VB.NET form.
Simply updating the FormClass.Text property does not quite make it, the
titile only changes once the form is minimised/maximised.
Preferrably I'd like to use a Windows API to change the text displayed in
the TASKBAR for the form window.
Is it possible to change the title used by the taskbar to something
different to the title used by the form window?
Have been searching for...

Hi all,
Is there any .NET way (I am not rulling out API usage) to add button(s) to a
form's title bar?
I found some non-.NET solutions that did actually work in VB6 but not in the
..NET forms...
I tried painting, but the paintaing area provided by the form is only the
client area - no visible way to paint on the title bar.

I want my application to run most of the time as just an notify icon
visible in the system tray, with some dialogs windows that open if the user
selects an option from the context menu on the tray icon. I've had a look at
the example on code project that creates an application that runs in the
system tray:

So I copied how the above article sets up the main form: the form's...

Hi
I have a form which is the main form of the project.
It has no controlbox, and the formborder is set to fixedsingle.
The text property is set to blank so that the title bar of th form does not appear - however this alos means that the taskbar icon for the project is blank - is there anyway of getting text to appear on the taskbar icon for the project without the titlebar of the form appearing?
Cheers

I am new to the .Net but not new to VB, but I am having problems with the
form icon. I made an icon file using VS.Net 2003 and then added it to my
form. The icon shows in the properties, but not on the form. If I use an
old icon it works fine. Is there something that Ishould know about this?
TIA

Hello,
I noticed a round looking icon with a downward chevron symbol immediately to
the left of the control box on the form title bar. When I click it the form
seems to unload - whether in debug mode or standalone. Does this icon do
anything more than the close form icon? Is there a way to eliminate it
without eliminating the control box? Do I want to eliminate it?
Thanks,
Rich

Hello,
I posted this in the HTML forum, but it was suggested I post it over here as well by a moderator.
I have a form that will not 'fire' in non-IE browsers?? I have poked and poked at the code and can not find why.
The AJAX changes the query button in non-IE browsers, at least in the sense it is not opaque anymore, the 'title' check changes, etc - it just doesn't "fire" when you click the icon/image in Mozilla, etc but DOES in Internet...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
