From Email to MS Access DB

Hi,

I would like to have an MS OUTLOOK email from a certain user set a
record in MS ACCESS.

That is everytime I get an email notification from a user, well a
different database, I would like that email write to MS ACCESS and add
a record to the database.

I am thinking this must be possible. Anyone with input ?
Thanks

Hi,

In order to accomplish this, you need to create interface implementation of
Outlook object model, and bind it to an Access object variable.
This way you can get a notification in Access when an e-mail message is
received in Outlook.
Then you can read the e-mail from Outlook into your Access application, and
if this is the message you are looking for, you can do any processing you
like in Access

If you need more in-depth details on this, you can contact me.

The most important consideration here is to setup an email account for the exclusive
use of your software. Thus client software, when going against that email account,
won't happily download all these messages for you.

Next see the Outlook specific links at the Access Email FAQ at my website.

Hi, I would like to start a new process and be able to read/write from/to it. I have tried things like... import subprocess as sp p = sp.Popen("cmd.exe", stdout=sp.PIPE) p.stdin.write("hostname\n") however, it doesn't seem to work. I think the cmd.exe is catching it.

Hello All, I have a major application for quoting and invoicing that is written in Access 97 (both front and back ends). I have a user base of over 300 customers, and currently I don't require that they have Access 97, as I use the access 97 runtime scripts from Sagekey software. The main problems I've seen with Access 97 are the built in e-mail support for sending reports. Unless a user uses the MS Outlook 2000/XP method, they have to...

Is there any way I can limit the access to my website? I have a site "A" and I want to allow access to it only from site "B" login user. If someone try to access site "A" directory, I want it redirected to site "B" for login. After login at site "B", you see the link to site"A". When you click it, you see login page for site "A". Is it possible? Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
