I have not used it but here's a description of the Parameter property
of a CommandBarContr ol object from the Access 2002 Developer's
Handbook by Litwin, Getz, Gunderloy:

"Allows you to specify a user-defined string identifying this
particular control. In the function called by the OnAction property,
you can retrieve this property and take action based on its value.
Basically, acts as a second Tag property."

Hello - I have a book that illustrates pulling menu items from a Sql Server table into an ascx via a stored procedure. Is this something that is done in the real world? I do like the effect when viewing it in the source code, however, because it doesn't show the complete path to the file. (I'm talking about Internet Explorer click View, click source code.)

I have an application where I need to set certain menu items invisible based on a user privilege. We did a sinmlar thing in VB6 and used the menu item's tag property to assign an identifier to each menu entry, then used that identifier as an index into a collection populated at user login in order to determine the item's visibility. Now, for some reason there's no tag property for .NET MenuItems, so I'm looking for some way to...

I am trying to locate a field (ToolStripMenuItem) by name in the current form and set its Enabled property, but I'm having no luck (skill) so far. Any help you could provide wold be greatly appreciated. This is the code I have so far. The line using (ToolStripMenuItem field = GetField(name)) is where I need to grab a reference to the field to affect, and obviously the existing code is not correct, but it should give you the idea.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
