Well, it seems that Microsoft, or whatever powers that be have decided it's
time for us to have yet another standard keyboard layout change.
I think I see that the point of this one was to reduce the space occupied by
the keys on the right, so the reach to the mouse is not so bad, but the way
they chose to do it?
Ah - I see. Since most of what we type will simply be deleted at some point,
let's make sure the Delete key is big and easy to find with the fingers.
Jumping to the end of the current line of text, on the other hand? Why?
Those characters will probably just get deleted soon anyway. In fact, I don't
know why they didn't just use up the rest of the space allocated to that pesky
space bar that they already took so much of away for those Windows keys no one
ever uses. After all, all the spaces will probably get deleted, too. The
space key could be moved up there where the tilde used to go. 13 2754

Battle the evil giant. Buy Logitech.
Steve, I will admit to the same frustration.
I find the End key absolutely vital in VBA, and I locate it without looking
because it's immediately above the up arrow key. The newer keyboards do have
a big Delete key right in that spot, and it's a frustration - unnecessary
and counterproducti ve - working across machines with different keyboard
layouts.

Can you point me to a picture of this keyboard? Otherwise, I have
no idea what you're talking about.
As to the Windows keys next to the space bar, I use them all the
time. Doesn't everyone?

Ack.
I don't want a keyboard with a different layout or with keys that
launch programs and other garbage.
I just want a plain old keyboard, just like the ones that I find
everywhere. If I become accustomed to typing on a custom keyboard
layout, I'll be unable to function efficiently at other people's
computers.
Keyboards have gotten way out of control, in my opinion. It's
virtually impossible to buy a keyboard without extra keys, for any
amount of money.

Hello,
I'm trying to capture all keyboard events from some different web page
layouts: framesets with different stuff, like flash or whatever !
The problem I am getting is that only focused documents get those
events, and even worse, if an "object" like a swf clip gets the focus,
all keyboard events are only sent to that object. What I would like is
to be able to get the events to a particular script/function so I can
handle them...

Hi,
I'm experiencing a problem when using the VB SendKeys method. I'm
sending characters to a textbox in another application. It works fine
when the Windows Input Languages on both apps are set to English, but
if they are set to say German, I'm getting the wrong characters in my
client textbox.
This is my SendKeys statement:

I'm looking for a program or command line or anything that would allow me to have more than the maximum 4 keyboard layout language groups that keyboard preferences in Ubuntu restricts me too. I can work with 5, but more would be better. Its a pain in the rear to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
