MSJETOLEDB40.DL L failed to register

Please bear with me. I'm still learning my netiquette with this group.

I am using Access 2000 and after 3 reinstalls and 5 repairs, I am still
getting the following error message:

MSJETOLEDB40.DL L failed to register.
HRESULT - 2147024865

I found the problem file in the c:\windows\syst em directory. Now I know
there is a button in access 2000 somewhere to care of little problems like
this. For the life of me, I just can't seem to find the durned thing.

Would somebody please point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Open a command prompt window and try the following command lines.

cd /d %windir%\system 32

Another possible answer is to download a newer version of the file and see if the install
for that will register the file.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

or www.windowsupdate.com

Just a quick note to say thank you for the quick response and help. I went
with your other suggestion and downloaded SP7. I'm running win98se which I
should have mentioned. Maybe if I quit banging my head against the wall
I'll remember these necessary details.

Again thank you.

Hi, My App running on my local machine is trying to access apsx and ascx pages via a virtual directory (see earlier post) that points to a share on a different machine. I can now access .aspx and run .aspx pages ok. However I've added a <@ register tag to a local page that references a .ascx page on the remote share (via the virtual directory). I now get a 'Failed to start monitoring changes to ' error on the @register statement.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
