I am having problems with installing MS .NET Framework 1.1
(one of the prerequisites)
I get the following error message:
Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low
memory (low disk space for swapping file ) or corrupted
Cabinet file.
I don't think it is a memory prob as I have plenty of hard
disk space (24GB) and have plenty of RAM 640MB. What is a

I just wanted to ask about the dlls that we add to theapplication folder using the setup projects, are they registeredon installation and if yes why. Hi everybody,
by a stupid mistake I deleted some important files for my .NET 2002 installation that I had on a w2k machine. So I de-installed VisualStudio.NET completely and tried to re-install it, but now I get strange error messages. During installation of .NET Framework I get:
"C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\mscordbi.dll failed to register. Contact your support personnel."
??? What could be the reason that the dll can't...

Hi,
I was installing SQL Server on my machine and during installation my PC
freezed. It happens frequently on my machine. So i tried after
restarting to install it again and since then i always get the same

sql server 2000 developer's edition installed and running
a bit of 'history'
last night I first tried to install sql server 2005 express but the
instruction text to the effect of "not entire Analysis service will be
available and the like" made me abort installation mid-way.
which may have MISTAKENLY registered this machine as having a copy of
sql server 2005 express installed already...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
