Folks,
Say I have a table, ten columns, ten rows - Each with a word in it. I want
to change the values of some/all of the cells in the table via a hyperlink.
How do I reference each cell and change its text contents from a link
elsewhere in the page? I have a rought idea that I'll need something like
'id' in my <td> tags but while I have a greater understanding of server-side
programming langauges like PHP, javascript is still very new...

Hello,
I created an e-mail form pretty much as described in this article:
http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/080801-1.shtml. It works great, but I
cannot figure out one thing:
I need to insert a URL at the bottom of the message body. How would I do
this? If I insert just HTML - it displays HTML. I tried Response.Write
method, StringBuilder and HTMLTextWriter classes - no luck so far.

I want to determine proramatically from my webform what the virtual
directory path is for my application.
The reason for this is that I want to use some javascript code which needs
to access a file in a subdirectory. This is fine but my component will one
forms which some are in a subdirectory and some will be in the root
directory. This is important when assembling the string needed for the
Window.Open used by javascript link in the...

Has anyone come across the problem that I am experiencing?
I have a master page using four or five Hyperlink controls, each with
an ImageUrl. The ImageUrl is specified using a virtual directory path,
such as ImageUrl = "~/Images/Main.gif".
I have a child page in a sub directory, images all appear to be
correct. However, if I use a Server.Transfer to transfer to a different
child page in a different sub directory or at the root level,...

I want to loop through a directory and list all files in hyperlinks. Then
when you click on a hyperlink, it opens the file in whatever application it
needs. For now I need to do this with Adobe Acrobat, but I'd like to know
how to do this for Excel, etc.
Can anyone show me some code? I've looked on google and found only
fragments, surprisingly.

I want it to. After the user selects a document in the combo, I want a

In my app I would like to change the color of the hyperlink from blue to
purple when a user clicks the hyperlink in a RichTextBox.
The DetectUrls property is set to True and I handle the
RichTextBox1.LinkClicked event to launch a browser window. That works fine.
The problem is that once the DetectUrls property is True the RichTextBox
control shows the link in blue even if I select the text and change the
SelectionColor to purple.
For...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
