Hi all,
I'm brand new at using Visual Studio, but I have basic
programming knowledge from C++.
I created a Windows form with some buttons, a tab area and
tabs, and some combo boxes with a list of values. I wanted
to set the default values for the combo boxes, so I found
the section in the code where all the attributes of the
combo boxes...

Except for missing ALT tags on images, this site validates, yet I get
some strange disappearing text in IE on a PC. Check out this page:
http://www.alexmarshall.org/index.php?pageId=50
At the bottom of the middle box is the text "Categories: About my
book", which shows up normally in FireFox, but which disappears in IE.
Why so?

Hi,
Each time the user selects an item from a combobox, I want that string to
get appended to the values that were already selected. The result is that
the combo is accumulating text each time the user selects an item from its
list. I want the delete and backspace keys to function normally, as well
as all the other properties of the...

I have a form with several combo boxes in the header used to determine the records that will be displayed on the form. When I tab or enter from the last combo box in the header, I want the focus to move to the first control on the form. When I Shift+tab from the first control on the form, I want the focus to move to the last control in the...

Can anyone help me with a problem that I have with apparently unrelated text disappearing in IE7 when I set a className.
This does not happen in Firefox.
I am trying to create an Ajax driven table where you can click on an active cell to pop up a form, then submit that form to modify the cell value.
My page uses several layers of tables and...

How can I help my the data from a combo box from disappearing when I change record?
the data is coming from a query that is made to limit the value list of a combo box depending on the value of the first combo box. I used to have the name before and it worked great but decided to changed my system to bound the ID instead for greater accuracy.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
