Building a simple database for school, please help

hi everyone:

i'm a college student and creating a simple database for the language
lab on campus. the data table is already in ACCESS. what i need to do
is to create a web page so that users can type in a keyword and search
for the item they need. the table has about 10 fields, and the
searching should go through all fields.

suppose the ACCESS database is put into school's server, how do i make
a page from which the user input can be sent to database and results
can be returned (on a new page). do i need to ASP?

please help...Thank you very much.

Please help - getting very desperate! Sun, 12 October 2003 05:39 I have PHPDEV 4.2.3 from Firepages.com.au as the upgrade to 4.3.0 did not work. I also had an abortive download from PHP.NET as I could not configure Apache myself. The REAL problem is that PHPmyAdmin works and sees my test database Wines.... But my PHP program does not!

Hello all: I am attempting to use a database program that I downloaded from http://www.thescripts.com/serversidescripting/perl/tutorials/asimpledatabaseprogram/database.txt with good success. I have already modified it heavily with good results. I am however stuck on something that I feel should have been built into it, but for some reason wasn't. During the search routine of the script that searches the database for a match based on...

I'm a beginner in VB.Net. I'm actually taking a class & so far I understand everything, but I suck when it comes to arrays. I'm sure that this is simple (I'm ashamed of asking :oops: )... I have some textboxes. I'm trying to store the information in an array, but I'm lost as to how: I have textboxes for FirstName, LastName & PhoneNumber. My problem is that the number of arrays is unknown so our teacher wants us to declare it as...

I'm trying to read data from a file (line by line) and trying to assign the values to the structure members. I'm kind of lost in this case since the books I'm using for reference doesn't give any examples about this case. typedef struct{ char magicNum; int width; int height; int maxGrey;

Hi all, I have a major problem with my ASP.NET website and it's SQL Server 2005 Express database, and I'm wondering if anyone could help me out with it. This site is on a webhost (WebHost4Life) and was running fine and dandy, until I decided I needed to add some additional stored procedures to the database.

Hi, I have been asked to build a simple web service by Friday and wondered if someone could help me out with a couple of questions. All I need to do is pass the contents of an XML file to another company's web service. We have told them that they will receive it in the format that we already have the xml file in so I don't need to change it at all. Would I be right in thinking that I could just build a service that reads in the desired...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
